April 1998 June 2000 Research Consultant for the Chicago Park District The Chicago Park District s Neighborhoods First Program was intended to improve park staff s ability to tailor programs for its diverse communities and incorporate meaningful public participation in its outreach efforts. Working with Dr. Joanne Vining, we used content analysis to evaluate facilitators journal entries (over 2,000 pages) and detect patterns of change. Results from our research contributed to a major reorganization of the Chicago Park District on the December 3, August 1996 September 1999
