Over 400 city managers & councilors trainees participated in our seminars and workshops from different cities in our regions. Municipal Finances & Investment Metropolis International Training Institute (MITI) Regional Center in conducted 2 four-day parallel workshop on The Use of GIS in Urban Planning & Municipal Finances & Investment. Over 135 city representatives and managers from West Asia participated in these workshops. The program brought together global and regional experts from Melbourne, Seoul, Baghdad, Beirut, Ghobeiry, Muscat, Minsk, Nabatieh, Islamabad, and some ian cities. The parallel training workshops were conducted by technical experts and best practices. This training seminars addressed some of the main key issues in urban planning and municipal investment which had been illustrated by examples and case studies. Women Engagement in Neighborhoods Management Metropolis International Training Institute (MITI) Regional Center in conducted 2 four-day parallel workshop on Youth Engagement in Social Development & Women Engagement in Neighborhoods Management. Over 65 city representatives and managers from West Asia and Middle East participated in the workshops. The program brought together global and regional experts from Shiraz, Beirut, Lleida, Baghdad, Karaj, Iqleem Al-toufah, Tehran, Seoul, Bath and. The parallel training workshops were conducted by technical experts and best practices. Also, case studies were discussed to bring city to city collaboration and knowledge exchange between Metropolis members, non-members cities and stakeholders. The MITI training Workshop was a special opportunity for youth and women in regional cities of West Asia to learn how to engage and participate in the planning and management of cities in the region. 8 March 1-4, 2016 First Metropolis Women International Network workshop: The Systematic Approach of Cities and Women Metropolis International Training Institute (MITI) Regional Center in organized a workshop entitled "The Role of Women in Urban Life", to reestablish an ian Women Network by gathering women city councilors and to encourage them to be more active in the international arena. The program brought together women local experts and councilors from over 24 city ian cities. The forum featured a morning session on the first day with institutional presentations and, during the rest of the program, participatory sessions with the focus group format. Each team identified needs, problems and challenges related to the selected subject and proposed project-oriented solutions for the next year. Following this meeting, an internal women network has been established with five committees focusing on the challenges facing women: 1. Governance and urban management 2. Urban Economics 3. Family and Culture 4. Urban Planning and development 5. Over 65 city representatives and managers from West Asia participated in the workshop focused on financial instrument for urban projects, and environmental challenges facing cities in 21 centuries. The program brought together global and regional experts from Sydney, Tbilisi, Baghdad, Milan, Istanbul, Beirut, Karbala, Ghobeiry, Islamabad, Colombo, Bishkek, Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, and some ian cities. The parallel training workshops were conducted by technical experts and best practices. Also, case studies were discussed to bring city to city collaboration and knowledge exchange between Metropolis members, non-members cities and stakeholders. The MITI training Workshop engages regional cities of Middle East and West Asia was a special opportunity for participants to link urban projects to strategic vision, needs and opportunities and to improve urban projects funding and financing knowledge among midto senior- level professionals working in urban and infrastructure planning on one side and introduce effective environmental planning and management process to help decision makers to formulate and implement realistic and effective strategies and action plans to improve air quality, on the other hand.
