2 Packaging - Processing HEAT EXCHANGER GIVES UNIFORM HEAT EXCHANGE FOR ENTIRE RUN SWEPT SURFACE OPERATION In operation, the Creamery Package Swept,Purfacelfeat Exchanger moves the product away from the heat exchange surface constantly and positively so that heat-resisting fdins are avoided and the surface is kept clean and efficient for extended periods of continuous operation. LOWER CONSTANT PRESSURE The pressure drop through the Creamery Package Swept Surface is extremely low thus affording lower pumping, operating and maintenance costs on the Swept Surface as well as other connected equipment. The lower constant pressure is well within the range of sanitary rotary and centrifugal pumps. CLOSED SYSTEM ADVANTAGES Because of the constant conditions in the dosed system, the CP Swept Surface Heat Exchanger may be used for emulsifying two or more liquids, liquids and gases, and liquids and.solids with a controlled temperature of each, often going in opposite directions in individual cylinders. The final product is uniformally crystallized, emulsified, plasticized, cooled or heated, whichever the process requires. DESCRIPTION CP Swept Surface Heat Exchangers are available with one to four cylinders mounted on a single frame and are made for heating or cooling and hearing and cooling. Three basic cylinders are available: i 1. Steam Heating Dowtherm Heating 2. Water Heating or Cooling Chilled Water or Brine Cooling 3. Low range cooling with Ammonia or Refrigerant 12 or 22. CYUNDERS and DISPLACEMENT-MIXERS The Cylinders of the CP Swept Surface are available in either hardchrome plated nickel or stainless steel The standard is a displacermixer type carrying four rows of blades. The blades are made of hardened stainless alloys for use with the chrome plated nickel cylinders or a special food quality plastic for use with the stainless steel cylinder or for contact with especially high acid food products. Special displacer-mixer and various combinations of blades can be supplied for those applications requiring them. SANITARY PRODUCT ZONE Heavy removable ball bearings are mounted outside of the product zone to maintain perfect alignment and to provide maximum sanitation for aseptic canning or other highly sanitary applications. PUMP APPLICATION The COVVea PUMP for cads application will vary so the pump must be engineered for each job. The CF Stainless Rotary or the CP Stainless Centrifugal Sanitary- pump will handle most products.
