4 2 Basic safety advices deconta has to engage you as the user to follow the guide book and to employ this engineered technology only in accordance with the regulations and not in a inappropriate way! In the event of non-observance, deconta assumes no liability. The handling of the appliance technology is only allowed for instructed staff, because you have to consider the contaminated materials and devices as dangerous goods. The exact knowledge of the guide book is for your staff an important condition for the handling of the machine. Necessary repairs, maintenance and cleaning, in particular in the field of electrical equipment should be realized by qualified staff or if necessary by the express service deconta in order to guaranty and keep the function and the security. The safety and protective equipments have to be treated with care and the indicated safety instructions have to be kept in a readable state. The installation and the operation of the device can only be executed according to the guide book or after consultation with deconta. In order not to restrict safety, any changes on the machine are prohibited. Modifications can only be made with the agreement of deconta. 5 3 Transport and storage 3.1 Delivery The waste water filtration plant is delivered from deconta works Isselburg on a pallet packed with a plastic film. Transport damages have to be documented at once during the handing over of the carrier or another supplier. Please note the possible damages additionally on the way bill. 3.2 Transport During the transport, you have to handle with care of course in order to avoid damages due to faulty handling or imprudence. In winter and by risk of frost, you have to drain the device (Waste water pump and the filter housings.) preliminary to the transport. Attention: Transport of the machine (also change of location) only with a drained machine 3.3 Storage In order to avoid damages, the installation has to be kept in a dry area with no access for unauthorized persons. Because of risk of frost in winter you have to observe following Drain off water pipes and filter housings Drain off the water pump trough the discharging screw Place the waste water filtration plant in a place protected against frost. Advices for the draining off of the tank: Caution: The water temperature of the contents of the tank can amount up to 80 C. In order to avoid scalds, we advise you badly to let the boiler cool down before draining it. In order to drain, move the ball valve (1), open the ventilation valve (2) (enables the air circulation). 1 2 Page 5

7 5.1 Use according to the regulations Instruction manual 5 Technical description By asbestos sanitation works within closed rooms, you have to exclude that the asbestos fibres leave the sanitation area uncontrolled and endanger the humanity and the environment. For this reason, persons must leave the sanitation area through locks and take a shower by locking out. The deconta water treatment assumes the heating of the shower water and takes over the filtering of the contaminated sewage water. 5.2 Machine description This is an electric warm water storage for the heating of shower water. Through the heating-up of the water storage and mixing of cold water in the temperature pre-mixing unit the desired output temperature is achieved (ex-works adjustment 37 C). The produced shower water is pumped down and filtered in 2-steps. 10 7 Initial operation Unplug Establish the water connections Fill the sewage pump (filling screw) Fill tank with water, open the shutoff valve to the shower until the water flows Connect power Temperature selector at level 3 (warm-up phase begins, to heat up it takes about 80 minutes for water at 80 C) Switch to position "Auto" (By water abstraction in the shower the sewage water pump begins to run) Switch to position "Man" (waste water pump runs continuously) Place a vessel underneath the overflow since water escapes during the heating for safety Security advices: During works on the machine always disconnect the plug! Operate the machine only with mains which are secured with fault current protection switch! Operate the machine never without water! In case of frost risk, drain the machine by opening the stopcock! Never make modifications on the safety assembly! Do not change the adjustment of the temperature in the pre-mixing unit! CAUTION! Danger of scalding Before every shower control the out coming! 11 8.1 Maintenance 8 Maintenance and care Only undertake the maintenance works under the observance of all relevant security precautions, the filter is contaminated! A filter change becomes acute when the manometer reaches more than 3 bars! 8.2 Daily maintenance Control if the hoses have a continuous flow Control visual if pre-filters are dirty. Control of the fine filter via manometer 8.3 Filter change We recommend a change of filter at about 3bar (Display manometer-filter control) Attention: Filter change: Filter change only if the device is switched off Demount dirty filters only in wet shape to avoid contamination use only allowed filters It is prohibited to use damaged filter candles Loose the nut Put out the filter and dispose of it Insert the new filter candles Screw tight the nut The sieve element used in the pre-filter can be taken out if it is dirty, be cleaned and used again. The suction hoses, pumps, filter housings and filter are contaminated after the first use. Repairs and maintenance have to be executed only under the observance of all relevant safety measures.
