3 1 Basic safety advice The handling of the appliance technology is only allowed for instructed staff. The exact knowledge of the guide book is for your staff an important condition for the handling of the machine. The guide book has to be always kept close-by and reachable for all persons. deconta has to engage you as the user to follow the guide book and to employ this engineered technology only in accordance with the regulations and not in a inappropriate way! In the event of non-observance, deconta assumes no liability. In order to guarantee the safety during the operation of the machine, you have to respect the following at all costs: Not to use in explosive areas Necessary repairs, maintenance and care have to be realized by qualified staff. During all repairs and maintenance works the filling station has to be fully disconnected. The safety and protective equipment has to be kept in a perfect functionality The indicated safety advice have to be kept in a readable state and have to be observed. Universally valid, legal and others remaining binding rules concerning the accident prevention and the handling with dangerous goods have to be observed In order not to restrict safety, any changes on the machine are prohibited. ATTENTION! The filling station is not adapted for the filtering of condensing, corrosive, combustible and explosive air. The temperature of the surroundings area and of the aspired goods must not exceed 60 C. Page 3

4 2 Technical description The industrial vacuum cleaner described in this manual is employed by intended purpose for the aspiration of dry not flammable dust. The ASPIMAX 32 filters the aspirated dust through 2 filtering steps. The aspired dust is conveyed to the dust bag. Fine particles are filtered of the regenerative compact filters. As last entity, a HEPA-filter of H classification takes over the filtering. 2.1 Operating mode separator filter system Regenerative filtering step (self cleaning filtering step) The gathered fine dust is stocked on the surface of the compact filter and produces a filter coating (surface). An automatic working cleaning system provides for the cleaning of the filter during the operation. A blowing valve acting from the interior to the exterior blasts the filter coating away. The blasted dust is collected in the dust bag S-filtering step (dust collecting filtering step) Means the gathering of suspended sediments which can not captured by the regenerative filtering Step. Please contact deconta immediately 4.1 Setting up The location of the vacuum cleaner has to be firm, even and adequate for the weight of the machine. Page 6

7 4.2 Establish connections ATTENTION! It is not allowed jet to connect the plug in the socket. The ASPIMAX is equipped already ex-works with the compact filter and the HEPA filter. Before the machine can be ready for use, following components have to be installed: 1. Rubbish bag: Unfasten the locks and pull the dust vessel forward. Put the rubbish bag inside and pull it over the fringe. Afterwards, pull the dust vessel again under the machine and with the help of the locks, lock it tightly in the direction of ASPIMAX. 2. Aspiration accessories: Connect the suction hose to the connection hose and fix with the clamp. Then, stick the soil nozzle, extension tube and the bended tube according to the intented purpose together. Page 7

8 4.3 Aspiration mode 4.31 Sign explanation < 20 m/s Horn reduced suction power By exceeding a suction speed of 20 m/s in the tubes, an acoustic signal resounds Offline-cleaning blast The Offline-cleaning blast is used when the automatic cleaning does not match with the fine dust of the aspired material. In this operating mode, a cleaning blast takes place without the aspiration mode. C Excessive temperature By unauthorised operation temperature in the interior of the machine (over 60 C) the vacuum cleaner switched off automatically. The warning light excessive temperature beams. An excessive temperature can occur because of a blocked tube or a shut aspiration nozzle. HEPA filter filled up If the HEPA filter is coated through dust and it has to be changed, the machine switched off and the warning light HEPA filter coated beams. Correct phase sequence Light beams only in the aspiration mode. X Wrong phase sequence Light beams by reverse phases in the power supply line. Page 8

9 Establish the current connection. If the light Wrong phase sequence beams, the phase in the CEE socket has to be turned with a screwdriver. Switch the star-delta starting switch on Star, the light correct phase sequence beams, the machine starts. After about 10 seconds relay the switch delta, The machine starts to vacuum and with the cleaning blasts of the regenerative filtering step. If the speed of aspiration exceeds 20 m/s in the aspiration tube, a horn resounds and refers to a too intensive aspiration or to an initial block in the pipes.. By unauthorised operation temperature in the interior of the machine (over 60 C) the vacuum cleaner switched off automatically. The warning light excessive temperature beams. In order to be able to start again the operation, the star-delta-starting switch has to be placed on 0. Afterwards, you may switch the machine as described above. If the Hepa filter is coated through dust and it has to be changed, the machine switched off and the warning light HEPA filtef coated beams. After the change of the HEPA-filter, the machine is again ready for use. IMPORTANT! Before any operation of the machine the star-delta-starting switch has to be placed in the zero position! Page 9

10 5 Filter control / Filter change 5.1 regenerative filtering step (Self cleaning filtering step) The life time of the filter depends on following factors: Hours of operation Type of dust Dust concentration According to experience, the life time of the filter amounts several years at normal charge. 5.2 Filter change Attention: Contaminated filters has to be changed under all corresponding safety measures Filter change only with a machine switched off Use only authorised filters Do not use bonding agents on the machine Remove the compact filter: Unscrew the lid Dismount the blowing tubes Remove the fixing screws of the fitting for the influx nozzle / filter Remove the filter and dispose of it professionally Insertion of the compact filter: Control the sealing face of the machine and clean it. Insert the new filter Tighten the fixing screws of the fitting for the influx nozzle / filter Insert the blowing pipes Fix the lid and control the leak tightness! Important: Treat the filter with care because otherwise damages can cancel the efficiency the filtration. Page 10

11 5.3 S-filtering step (dust collecting filtering step) The life time of the filter depends on following factors: Hours of operation Type of dust Dust concentration Quality / state of the regenerative filtering step By an increase of the filter coating (Filter pollution) the aero power decreases Important: Only use authorised and impeccable! 5.4 Filter change S-filter step (Dust collecting filtering step) Attention: Contaminated filters has to be changed under all corresponding security measures Filter change only with a machine switched off Use only authorised filters Do not use bonding agents on the machine Remove the S filter: The S-filter is inserted and removed laterally. Unscrew the lid Remove the fixing screws of the clamping bar Remove the S-filter and dispose of it professionally Page 11

12 Insertion of the S-filter: Control the sealing face of the machine and clean it. Insert the new filter Tighten the clamping bars Insert the blowing pipes Fix the lid and control the leak tightness! Important: Treat the filter with care because otherwise damages can cancel the efficiency the filtration. In order to avoid mechanical damages, deconta supplies Hepa-filter ex-works equipped with a protective grid. 6.1 Before each use 6 Maintenance and controls In order to control the security equipment, you have to keep the tube shut. A warning signal must resound at once. After 10 seconds, the machine must switch off automatically an the warning light Overload has to beam. 6.2 During the use Observe the control display You can hear a cleaning blast approximately all 2 minutes Offline-cleaning mode The Offline-cleaning blast is used when the automatic cleaning does not match with the fine dust of the aspired material. In this operating mode, a cleaning blast takes place without the aspiration mode Procedure: Set the switch Offline-cleaning mode on 1. The regenerative compact filters clean approximately all 2 minutes According to the dirt and dust kind, let clean between 0,5 and 3 hours! 6.3 Annual control The technical aero installations (deduster, industrial vacuum cleaner and machines which are employed for the ventilation or negative pressure stand) have to be controlled at least once a year by deconta..
