17 Creasing function Creasing function to create fold lines for clean folding on micro-flute and cardboard has been added. (requires optional creasing tool CP001 for card stock, CP002, CP003 for corrugated material) Benefit: Up to three fold lines can be selected. If two or three fold lines have been selected, the spacing between the lines can also be specified. Repeated creasing operations can also be specified for each of the lines. Guidelines for selecting single-line, double-line, or triple-line creasing Line spacing Single-line creasing Materials of a thickness of up to 0.1 mm Double-line creasing Cardboard of a thickness of approximately 0.1 to 0.5 mm Triple-line creasing Corrugated cardboard of a thickness of approximately 0.3 to 0.5 mm (rigid cardboard) Benefit: In consideration of the characteristics of corrugated card board (E, F and G flutes), the creasing force and the cutting force can be specified independently in both the X and Y directions. This prevents surface damage caused by an excessive force.

18 Advanced reverse-side creasing The FC2250 Series and FC4500 plotters feature reverse-side cutting and creasing functions to prevent traces of the creasing operation from appearing on the printed surface. 1: Load the media on the FC2250/FC4500 with its top side (the surface printed with the registration marks) facing upward. (Auto RMS) 2: Specify the MARK TYPE and MODE, At this time, cut around the registration marks that were read as shown in the figure below. 3: Flip the medium over so that the reverse side is facing upward, and then load it on the FC2250/FC : Specify the MARK TYPE and MODE, At this time, perform correction based on the shapes that were cut out from the upper side of the medium. 5: Send the data for cutting and creasing, and then perform cutting and creasing from the reverse side of the media. 22 Versatile software: D-Cut Master This software reads a DXF file in AutoCAD R13 format and then enables data display, deleting, sorting, changing of the cutting order, specifying of output setting's and saving functions as well as creation of GP-GL plot data and output to the cutter. D-Cut Master is standard with the FC2250 and FC4500 series. Main functions Output in separate layers or separate colors can be specified. Output conditions can be selected by layer name or fill color. Supports sorting optimization to minimize head movement The Weed Border cutting function enables automatic output of a border to facilitate weeding of the cut media. Any drawing exceeding the plotter s Valid Area can be output in multiple pages using the Tiling function. Output conditions can be managed by media name. Matrix Copy function The Cutting Simulation function enables checking of the cut sequence, changing of the cut sequence, and tiled cutting prior to actual output.
