During this stage the combustion chamber is unpressured, the igniter is switched off and the combustion power is controlled by the fan which distributes the air flow in the burner 3

4 3.1. Burner description The CPPL burner is completely automatic and it works on solid fuel boiler It has an high power centrifugal fan and it dev elops horizontal flame like traditional burners. All fire exposed components are made of steel which is resistant to high temperatures The burner fluid dynamics permits an homogeneus mixture of fuel/combustive agent with an high burning output so the burner can work with low air level, the same levels which are normally used for liquid fuels The Archimedean screw grants the pellets supply. The regulation can be all/nothing two staged or multistage, a programming system allows selection of the type of regulation. The fan speed allows to change the air quantity according to the burner power. The fuel quantity changes according to the feed screw electrical pulses. On the burner there aren t any mechanical devices or moving components. The ignition system is totally automatic and reliable Control unit description CPPL burner - Equipped for burner, boiler and eventual hot sanitary water container control. It can be applied on boiler. - It is possible an eternal connecti on for thermal regulation and a remote alarm signal. - All electrical connections are already wired so the burner installation on heating generators s faster - Inside the frontal panel there is the membrane keyboard, that controls all functioning. The display shows the regulation settled and the working steps thank to a lighten led. The utilisation is simple and easy also for final user - The temperatures checked by boiler probes and the alarms ca be easily verified - In the current model there is a timer for forced switched on-off and reignition in case of burner with automatic cleaning kit - photoresistance sensibility regulation carried our by software directly from key board - Possibility to fix the burner power level during the combustion regulation operations Feeder screw description The pellets feed system is granted by a screw and it is composed by - Engine with an high starting couple - Electrical link cable with connector - Flexible spiral - Servomotor support - Carbon Steel pipe - Connector hose for screw/ burner - Tube locks 4

5 4. Technical characteristic 4.1. Burner working according to air density The air heating and the increasing of height has the same effect: the expansion of air volume that is to say the reduction of his density. The power of the burner fan is always the same but the oxygen per mł of air and the starting couple of the fan are reduced. Th e best range of value working is calculated for an environment temperature of 20 and an height of 100 mt over the sea level (barome tric pressure of about 1000 mbar) Burner technical data Model Power[kW] Min. All activating times are factory set to off. For turning on of activating time see Setting of the burner operating parameters. For proper and efficient burner operation minimum burner work time is 1 hour, and min. stand-by time between two activating times is 1 minute Boiler overheating protection The control unit has a built-in protection which protects boiler against overheating. Regardless the operating regime (either winter or summer) and regardless the needs, the control unit turns on circulation pumps to cool the boiler. 21

22 In winter and summer regimes, if the boiler temperature exceeds 93 C, and regardless heating or sanitary water is needed, the boiler pump and/or sanitary water pump turns on and works until the boiler temperature drops below 93 C Flame extinction during operation 9. Errors Regardless the current operating regime of the burner, if errors E1, E2, E7 and E8 occur, the control unit will stop operation immediately, while in case of errors E4, E5 and E6 burner goes to extinction phase. If control unit is in firing phase and flame has not occurred yet, due to notification on error, supply, fan and heater will be stopped immediately. In case of error Err appears in the upper display and error type appear appears in the lower display and if it is also necessary to carryout extinction phase (in case of E4, E5 and E6 errors) Err appears in the upper display and OFF and error type appear alternately in the lower display. Oznake greški: - E1 safety pressure switch, feeding tube overheating - E2 firing safety time expired - E4 excessive temperature on feeding tube - E5 sanitary water temperature sensor - E6 flame disappeared - E7 error in memory - E8 interruption in fan operation - E9 not used! - E10 backfilling supply tube with pellets E e4 To enable control unit to resume to normal operation, error must be corrected and cancel it on the control unit. Error is cancelled by simultaneous pressing WINTER and SUMMER buttons and ''+'' button. If the error cause is not repaired, error cannot be cancelled. 22

23 10. Firing First ignition This operation must be carried on only by professional skilled people Procedure: 1. The fuel pellet tank must be full ( this operation must be done by the final user); 2. Connect electrical panel to electrical supply and make sure that the display is switched ON; 3.
