3 Macerator Channel Series Grinder Main applications The macerator channel series grinder is a high torque, low speed grinder with the ability to effectively macerate raw sewage, sludge, sewage screenings and industrial process flows. 4 Macerator - Pipeline Series Grinder Main applications The macerator pipeline series grinder is the latest generation of twin shaft grinders and specifically designed for efficient treatment of abrasive sludge. The macerator grinder is designed to be maintained in place without disconnecting from pipework. 5 Maintain in Place To minimize the time and cost involved when maintaining a conventional grinder/macerator, the macerator pipeline series grinder can easily be maintained in place, without disconnecting or removing any pipework. Currently, the removal of the cutting elements from a typical grinder/macerator requires removal from site and can take up to two days to complete. With the macerator pipeline series grinder, the complete cutter stack can be inspected and replaced within two and a half hours. 1. Clear access to cover screw 2. Remove retaining screws 3. Remove large access cover for visual inspection of cutters 4. Loosen and remove shaft lock nuts 5. Remove cutters and spacers 6. Inspect/replace cutters, spacers and shafts
