Some hydronc and forced ar systems requre a delayed valve-on and burner motor-off delay. he R784 operates an ol valve that prevents the flow of ol when the burner motor s runnng pror to combuston (delayed valve-on) and when the burner motor s runnng after combuston (burner motor-off delay). he R784 models are ntended for use only on ol burnng applances whch do not requre prepurge and post-purge as a safety related functon as defned n UL96. he valve-on delay and burner motor-off delay n ths control are ntended only to help establsh draft and reduce ol after-drp related problems. EnvraCOM enabled R784 s can be used wth EnvraLnk remote montorng systems and hand-held dagnostcs. Use only R784P and U models for networkng wth other EnvraCOM enabled devces. FEAURES User Interface here are two user nterfaces: basc and advanced. Both nterfaces consst of three buttons:,, and. INSALLAION INSRUCIONS he advanced nterface has a two-lne dsplay used to confgure devce parameters, retreve dagnostc nformaton, and dsplay system status. he basc nterface has a sngle LED used to dsplay error codes and system status. In general, the button cycles through the dsplay optons and acts as an enter key (n setup modes). hermostat(s) he ol prmares are compatble wth both standard thermostats and EnvraCOM communcatng thermostats. Lmted Recycle hs feature lmts the number of recycle trals (for each call for heat) to a maxmum of three trals. If the flame s lost three tmes and does not successfully satsfy a call for heat, the R784 locks out. Pump Prmng Cycle o facltate purgng ar from the ol lnes and flters, the R784 can be placed n a purge routne by pressng and releasng the up arrow button durng the ral For Ignton. In the advanced nterface PUMP PRIME s dsplayed on the dsplay along wth the tme left on the ral for Ignton (FI). Pressng the up arrow button adds a mnute to the FI tme for a maxmum of 0 addtonal mnutes (press the up arrow button 0 tmes). Pressng the down arrow button subtracts a mnute from the FI tme. here s no vsual ndcaton for the basc nterface control and the purge tmng s lmted to fve mnutes. Lockout Modes he R784 has three types of lockout modes that are entered when an error s encountered: EFS-0

Hard Lockout: Caused by a falure nternal to the control or by a system fault such as flame out of sequence. A Hard Lockout wll result n a no heat condton. o reset from Hard Lockout press and hold the button for seconds. Restrcted Lockout: Caused by a number of consecutve hard lockouts on the same heat cycle. o reset from a Restrcted Lockout press and hold the button for ten seconds. Cad Cell Resstance Cad cell resstance can be checked wthout usng an ohm meter. Basc Interface: Press and release the button. he resultng flashes ndcate the resstance. See able. Valve-on Delays/Blower Motor-off Delays Select models may have fxed or adjustable delays for valve open or blower motor off. he safety crcuts wll check for flame durng these delays and, f a flame s present, wll swtch the control to lockout. Baselnng the control s ntended as a means to save performance data at the tme when the control s operatng optmally. he baselne values are a trend of the frst 500 cycles followng an nstallaton or a command to re-baselne and s provded as a method to compare present burner performance to that when the burner was ntally nstalled or servced. Usng the baselne data, t s possble to montor the burner system for degradaton and allow a servce person to address any ssues before they result n a no-heat stuaton. After performng the servce t may be desred to reset the baselne through the nstaller setup menu. NOE: Re-baselnng wll establsh new baselne values for cell and Ignton me gong forward. It wll also reset the Cycles Snce Baselne, Lockouts Snce Baselne, and Recycles Snce Baselne counters back to zero. Dsplays the status of the and Lmt nputs. R784 Error Codes (Basc Interface) ROUBLESHOOING AND MAINENANCE IMPORAN Due to the potental hazard of lne voltage, only a traned, experenced servce techncan should preform the troubleshootng procedures. hs control contans no feld-servceable parts. Do not attempt to take t apart. Replace entre control f operaton s not as descrbed. o completely troubleshoot an ol burner nstallaton, check the burner and ol prmary control for proper operaton and condton. Cad Cell Resstance Check For proper operaton, t s mportant that the cad cell resstance s below 600 ohms. On the basc model wth LED nterface, durng a normal call for heat, once the control has entered the Run mode, press and release the button. On the advanced model wth dsplay, follow the screen dagnostc procedure to read the cad cell resstance. Prelmnary Steps. Check wrng connectons and power supply.. Make sure power s on to controls.. Make sure lmt control s closed. 4. Check contacts between gnter and the electrodes. 5. Check the ol pump pressure. 6. Check the ppng to the ol tank. 7. Check the ol nozzle, ol supply and ol flter.
