5 Page 4 3BF390826NI 05/12 2 INSTALLATION: GENERAL NATURE AND POSITION OF SERVICE CONNECTIONS See "Technical characteristics" at the beginning of these instructions 2.1 GENERAL A qualified engineer must carry out the installation, modification or repair of the appliance in a workmanlike manner. These appliances must be installed with sufficient ventilation to prevent the formation of excessive concentrations of noxious substances hazardous to health in the area in which they are installed. The equipment is not designed to work in an explosive atmosphere. Accordingly it must not be installed in an area subject to an ATEX directive The appliances must be installed according to EN 1717 and any local and national regulations in force relating to water. These units should only be placed against a wall or a partition. This must be of non-combustible materials or, if not, must be covered with an appropriate, good insulating and non-combustible material. The manufacturer certifies that the packaging meets the provision 94/62/CE (relating to packaging and packaging waste of ) and requests that the final installer (or user) observes the rules relating to the removal of the packaging (recycling or reuse). 2.2 HANDLING The appliance should only be handled with suitable lifting equipment. Should the appliance need to be transported, this must be on its original pallet and it must not be stacked on other appliances under any circumstances. If the appliance is to be moved without its pallet, it should be carried and not pulled. 2.3 UNPACKING Before installation, remove the strapping from the appliance. The individual parts are not bolted down. Remove the protective plastic film from all stainless steel parts before heating.

6 Page 5 3BF390826NI 05/12 3 INSTALLATION: LOCATING 3.1 ASSEMBLING UNITS CANTILEVERED OFF A WALL Drilling plan The fixing brackets must be able to support a force of 4000 N/m (2 brackets for units that are 400, 800, 1000 or 1200 wide). It is advisable, when cantilevering equipment off a concrete wall to comply with the following points: * The reinforced concrete should be of at least 30 N/mm2 (C20/25) standard * Use HSA-R M 8 x 75mm rawlbolts or equivalent (2 for cooking tops and 6 for ranges). * For the rawlbolts mentioned above the hole for each should be 8mm diameter and at least 65mm deep. Procedure - Fit the lower support beam to the wall. Note: This beam must be level. - Fix the sheet template supplied to the wall with two 5mm Ø screws. Ensure it is level

7 Page 6 3BF390826NI 05/12 - Drill through 5mm holes for the fixing brackets. Use the top holes (2 fixing brackets per unit). Note: Where it isn t possible to drill through the top holes (Service runs, wall reinforcing...) use the bottom holes. - Remove the template. - Enlarge the fixing bracket holes to 8mm and to a depth of at least 65mm. - Bolt the fixing brackets to the wall. Use HSA-R M 8 x 75mm rawlbolts or equivalent. - Open the brackets to their maximum using the central screw Bracket open Fixing bolt Opening screw - Position the units on the brackets and tighten the brackets fully. 8 Page 7 3BF390826NI 05/12 - Fix the appliances between themselves at their back in the way of collectors with a HM5 X 16 screw + Ø 5 flat washer + Ø 5 nuts. - Fix the appliances between themselves at their font in the way of fascia with a HM5 X 16 screw + Ø 5 flat washer+ Ø 5 nuts. 3.2 ASSEMBLY OF THE APPLIANCES ON INDIVIDUAL BASES - Fix the appliances between themselves at their back in the way of collectors with a HM5 X 16 screw + Ø 5 flat washer + Ø 5 nuts. - Fix the appliances between themselves at their font in the way of fascia with a HM5 X 16 screw + Ø 5 flat washer+ Ø 5 nuts.

There are two possibilities: 1) Neutral top on a 200 or 400 technical compartment. 2) Cupboard foreseen for taps and sized 400 with all possibilities of cooking or neutral tops except induction.

Note: If the appliances are delivered separately from the base, install the appliances on one or more bases space Connect electrical supply to the appliances (see paragraph 4: Installation: Connections) Assemble the appliances between themselves. - Fix the appliances between themselves at the back in the way of collectors with one HM5 X 16 screw + Ø 5 flat washer + Ø 5 nuts. - Fix the appliances between themselves at the front in the way of fascia with one HM5 X 16 screws + Ø 5 flat washers + Ø 5 nuts. Connect gas, water and drainage lines to the appliances. Fit the trimming plinths. One front plinth per space 2000 base and one right and left end trimming plinth per stove, depending on order. - Assemble one or more front plinths with junctions (depending on the quantity of bases) (2 screws per plinth). - Fix one or more front plinths 1 and 2) onto one or more bases (two screws at least per plinth). - Fix the back part (on the end appliances before their definitive installation) on the base with the hex head screw (3). - Fix the right and left end trimming kits (4) (2 front screws and 1 back screw)

11 4.1 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION Page 10 3BF390826NI 05/12 4 INSTALLATION: CONNECTIONS Location of the cross bonding terminal Electric connection is carried out from the rear of the appliance, whatever the model. - Loosen the fixation screw and remove the cover of the connecting box. - Thread the cable through the gland. - Tighten the gland. - Connect the wires. - Put the cover back in place and fix it. - Connect the cross bonding link to the terminal provided. Only use H07 RN-F type supply cable with a section that coresponds to the load required by the equipment as listed below. (see chapter 1 «technical characteristics» which will give you the load.) All aspects of the installation should be in compliance with current local regulations (In France: NFC ). The appliance must be connected to the earth. Different electric appliances must also be cross bonded (all metallic structures at the same potential) by means of the terminal provided for this purpose located next to the cable gland. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility whatsoever if these instructions are not followed.

12 4.2 WATER CONNECTION Page 11 3BF390826NI 05/12 - Potable Cold or hot water. - Minimum pressure 150 kpa / 1.5 bar, maximum 600 kpa / 6 bar. - Maximum temperature for water: 60 C. - Install a shut off valve locally. - Connect 20/27 (3/4"). We recommend making the connection to the water supply with a water hose for easy installation and after sales service. 4.3 DRAINAGE CONNECTION - Draining the well in a drain box with filtering - Connect diameter 35mm stainless steel tube + diametre 35mm copper elbow swivel. Filtration basket Copper elbow Drained water is at a temperature of 100 C, due to this exclude the PVC-type materials. IMPORTANT: In the framework of protection against pollution of mains water, IT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED TO CONNECT THE APPLIANCE DIRECTLY TO THE OUTER SEWAGE SYSTEM (in a tight manner). So as to avoid any rise of sewage water into the enclosure of the recipient, a vent to open air must be foreseen between the drainage system of the appliance and the outer sewage line. The drain must include a siphon to fight against any return of bad smells.
