1 To: RFP for: Unit Make Ready Services Procurement Department ADDENDUM # 1 Change the closing date as follows: Responses are due 11:00a.m. Tuesday, March 15, Please note the following change. Refer to Section 3.36, Page 18. Delete this paragraph in its entirety: Contractor shall clean All A/C heating units clos as well as the face panels to the A/C units. Replace with the following: Contractor shall clean all heating units inside and out as well as the face panels. Please note the following change. Refer to Section 3.36, Page 22 last paragraph titled Handrails. Delete this paragraph in its entirety: Handrails: Handrails finished with a latex base paint shall be refinished using enamel paint. When handrails which have a stained finish show signs of wear, they shall be refinished by removing the existing clear coat, re-staining, and applying a new clear finish. Replace with the following: Handrails: Interior of Unit: Handrails finished with a latex base paint shall be refinished using enamel paint. The following question had been asked: Question 1: In regards to the Make readies, if for instance one of the units has lead paint according to the regulation one will have to send a sample to get tested wait for the results etc. a process that will take approximately 5 days or so. If that is the case in one of the units a 3 day turn around won't work, what would be the procedure on that case for example? Answer 1: If the Contractor suspects that the make ready unit has lead based paint, he/she will stop work immediately and notify Property Manager.
