1 The Rest Nature Estate News Flash September 2015 Grand Opening of the Sales Centre As you probably heard the Grand Opening Party held at the New Sales Centre was a huge success with over 250 people in attendance and a great time was had by all big and small. See below: some of the photos taken. Please go like our Facebook Page for more photos. Now that we have these wonderful facilities we need to maximize their usage. The Gym will be open from 6.0am to 9.0pm, 7 days a week. If it is locked for any reason the keys will be with security at the West Gatehouse. O There are TV s installed whereby during the Sales Centre opening hours DSTV can be watched. Please use the coffee bar facilities during Sales Centre opening hours where there will be hot and cold drinks and snacks available or you can bring your own. This will be operated on an honesty box basis. Please bring your friends and children for refreshments, where the kids can enjoy themselves in the play area. Unfortunately the swimming pool is out of bounds for safety reasons. More information will be forth coming in the next newsletter in October/ November. Hope you enjoy this facility. 2 Arbor Week The Rest Nature Estate will be supporting Arbor Week and have donated 300 indigenous trees to be planted both at Curro School and The Estate. Trees can be purchased for R300 for planting in your own gardens or donated to the Estate or to Curro. We are sponsoring a stall at The Curro School Spring Festival on the morning of Saturday September 5 th where the trees will be on display and you can learn more and place your orders. In the meantime you can reserve trees through Charla on or the Sales Centre Erythrina Lysistemon, Coral Tree Syzygium Cordatum, Waterbessie Vepris Lanceolata, White iron tree Arbour Day: Olea Africana, Wild olive Aloe Barberae, Tree aloe September is just around the corner and we are enjoying the first sights, sounds and smells of spring! With over 20,000 indigenous trees and shrubs planted throughout the Estate over the past three months, new bird and animal life is being drawn to the development daily. As part of our ongoing indigenous tree planting initiatives, The Rest will once again be hosting a landscaping stall at Curro Nelspruit s highly anticipated Spring Festival and Food Fair, to be held on Saturday, September 5. The festival is Curro s annual fundraising highlight, drawing over 3000 visitors. The Rest Nature Estate has kindly donated a selection of 300 indigenous trees, which will be available for purchase at cost, from the landscaping stall. Ten varieties have been specifically selected for their fast growth and ability to attract birdlife. Residents, parents and visitors will be able to purchase their favourites at a fantastic wholesale price of R300 per 50-litre tree. The remaining, unsold trees will be donated to The Rest and planted around the Estate. Trees available for purchase this year include Aloe Barberae (Tree aloe), Celtis Africana (White stinkwood), Erythrina Lysistemon (Common coral tree), Ficus Ingens (Red-leaved fig), Lannea Schweinfurthii (False Marula), Olea Africana (Wild olive), Rhus Lancea (Karee), Syzygium Cordatum (Waterbessie), Tabernaemontana Elegans (Toad tree) and Vepris Lanceolata (White iron tree). Purchases made by residents and owners of The Rest will be delivered to properties within the Estate at no charge.

3 For professional planting services, owners and residents are advised to contact Caren Dentan on or Visitors to the fair will be treated to an assortment of carnival games, rides and activities, along with numerous food stalls, crafts, home-made sweet treats and more. Music lovers are invited to enjoy the sounds of Jakkie Louw and Kevin Leo, who will kick off the festival at 6pm on Friday, September 4.
