1 Section SECURITY PRO-WATCH NOTIFIER SECONDARY FIRE INTERFACE ARCHITECT AND ENGINEERING SPECIFICATION PART 1 GENERAL A. The intent of this document is to specify the minimum criteria for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a Honeywell Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary Fire Interface 1.01 SUMMARY A. The Pro-Watch Notifier solution shall enable secondary monitoring of Notifier fire events and point status information from a Pro-Watch central command and control location through the Notifier BacNet IP gateway (BacNET-GW-3). The Pro-Watch Secondary Fire Interface is not Underwriters laboratories (UL 864) listed as a fire alarm control unit. It is designed to provide only secondary informative monitoring, and shall under no circumstance be used as a primary fire alarm monitoring solution REFERENCES A. Underwriters Laboratories Inc. Pro-Watch HSDK user s manual 1.03 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION The Pro-Watch Notifier solution shall enable secondary monitoring of Notifier fire events and point status information from a Pro-Watch central command and control location through the Notifier BacNet IP gateway (BACnet-GW-3). The Pro-Watch Notifier solution shall support multi-node BACnet-GW-3 gateway configurations with more than one Notifier panel connected to the same gateway. The Pro-Watch Secondary Fire Interface is not Underwriters laboratories (UL 864) listed as a fire alarm control unit. It is designed to provide only secondary informative monitoring, and shall under no circumstance be used as a primary fire alarm monitoring solution.
2 1.04 SUBMITTALS A. General: Submittals shall be made in accordance with the conditions of the Contract and Submittal Procedures Section. B. Product Data: The following shall be provided: a. Technical datasheets b. A complete set of instruction manuals 1.05 QUALITY ASSURANCE 1.06 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING A. General: Delivery, storage, and handling of Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary Fire interface shall be in accordance with the manufacturer s recommendations. B. Ordering: The manufacturer s ordering instructions and lead-time requirements must be followed in order to avoid installation delays. C. Delivery: Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary Fire interface shall be delivered in the manufacturer s original, unopened, and undamaged electronic delivery package (soft delivery) PROJECT CONDITIONS 1.08 SEQUENCING 1.09 SCHEDULING 1.10 MAINTENANCE A. Preventive Maintenance Agreement during Warranty: As a separate price item, the Contractor shall provide preventive maintenance during the warranty period. Maintenance shall include, but not be limited to: a. Labor and materials, at no additional cost, to repair Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary interface. b. Labor and materials, at no extra cost, to provide test and adjustments to Pro-Watch HSDK Secondary Notifier interface. c. Regular inspections. B. Service Support agreement: The Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface shall only be available to end-user with a software support agreement. A service support agreement line item shall be included for each Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface (SSAPWNOTI). The Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary Fire support agreement shall entitle the user to receive Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary Fire interface software updates and fixes for a period of one year.
3 1.11 TRAINING A. System Administrator and Operator training shall be conducted for a minimum of one training session, at the end user s site. B. Training shall include, but not be limited to, Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary Fire administration, provisioning, configuration, operation, and diagnostics. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.01 SYSTEM COMPONENTS A. HSDK a. Manufacturer: Honeywell Security b. Part #: B. Notifier a. Manufacturer: Honeywell Life Safety b. Part #: BacNet-GW-3 C. Pro-Watch a. Manufacturer: Honeywell Security b. Part #: PWCE D. Pro-Watch Notifer Interface a. Manufacturer: Honeywell Security b. Part #: PWNOTI 2.02 SYSTEM OPERATION A. The Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface shall include, as a minimum, the following features/functions/specifications: Notifier BacNet/IP gateway (BacNet-GW-3) connectivity 1. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface shall support BacNet/IP connectivity to the Notifier BacNet IP gateway (BacNet-GW-3) via standard BacNet/IP. Any and all configurations to the Notifier BacNet/IP gateway (BacNet-GW-3) shall be undertaken by a qualified Notifier dealer under and in compliance with Notifier certifications and best practices.
4 2. The BacNET-GW-3 Notifier gateway shall be configured in BacNET multi-state point configuration. If necessary, an additional BacNET-GW- 3 gateway shall be deployed in multi-state point configuration. 3. Configuration of the BacNet IP gateway shall be undertaken by a qualified Notifier dealer for LAN and WAN configurations including BacNet/IP remote gateway support. 4. Configuration of the BacNet IP gateway shall be undertaken by a qualified Notifier dealer to publish BacNet compliant enumerated points containing alarm and status information for each published point. 5. Configuration of the BacNet IP gateway shall be undertaken by a qualified Notifier dealer to publish one or more Notifier panels through the Notifier BacNet IP gateway. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire BacNet/IP configuration tool 6. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface shall support a maximum of one Notifier BacNet IP gateway (BacNet-GW-3) and up to 2,000 Notifier points per BacNet-GW-3 Notifier gateway 7. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface shall include a configuration tool that enables a user to configure the Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire BacNet/IP client interface communications parameters including BacNet/IP Network number. The system administrator shall be responsible for assuring that the appropriate BacNet/IP ports are open and available. 8. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface shall include a configuration tool that enables a user to monitor the BacNet/IP network status (up/down). Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface Notifier BacNet IP gateway (BacNet-GW-3) point discovery 9. Pro-Watch shall implement an authenticated graphical user interface accessible from the Pro-Watch HSDK application module interface or through web browser interface supporting java. Specifically, Internet Explorer or Firefox with Sun Java virtual machine support (including appropriate permissions). 10. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface shall implement a BacNet/IP client capable of communicating to the Notifier BacNetIP gateway (BacNet-GW-3). 11. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface shall implement a graphical tool to discover and add Notifier BacNet IP gateways in a LAN environment to the Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface. 12. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface shall enable all added Notifier BacNet IP multi-state points to generate Pro-Watch events for normal, offnormal and fault.status transitions.
5 Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface Pro-Watch point discovery 13. Pro-Watch shall implement a graphical user interface that enables a user to add one or more Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interfaces to a Pro- Watch system as a HSDK application module. 14. Pro-Watch shall implement a Pro-Watch channel for each Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface mechanism 15. Pro-Watch shall implement a panel for each Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface 16. Pro-Watch shall implement a Pro-Watch HSDK application module interface for each Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface. 17. Pro-Watch HSDK application module shall implement a mechanism to graphically import selected Notifier fire points from a Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface (obix tree) as Pro-Watch obix input points (read only). 18. Pro-Watch obix points shall support Pro-Watch standard store procedures and video integration capabilities including the Pro-Watch video manager integration tab. 19. Pro-Watch HSDK application module shall implement a mechanism to graphically subscribe/unsubscribe to the Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface (obix tree) to receive Pro-Watch Notifier fire point to normal, off-normal and fault status. 20. Pro-Watch HSDK application module shall implement a mechanism to view the Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary Fire graphical user interface from within Pro-Watch. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface Licensing 21. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface shall support a maximum of one Notifier BacNet IP gateway (BacNet-GW-3) and up to 2,000 Notifier points per BacNet-GW-3 gateway 22. Pro-Watch Notifier interface shall support 500 points in its base configuration expandable in 250 point increments up to a maximum of 2,000 Notifier points. PART 3 EXECUTION 3.01 PREPARATION A. Prior to installation, the Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface shall be configured and tested in accordance with the manufacturer s instructions.
6 3.02 INSTALLATION A. The Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface must be installed, programmed, and tested in accordance with the manufacturer s instructions. a. In order to ensure a complete, functional Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface for bidding purposes where information is not available from the Owner upon request, the worst-case condition shall be assumed. b. Interfaces shall be coordinated with the Owner s representative, where appropriate. c. All necessary backboxes, racks, connectors, supports, conduit, cable, and wire must be furnished and installed to provide a complete and reliable Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary fire interface installation. Exact location of all boxes, conduit, and wiring runs shall be presented to the Owner for approval in advance of any installation. B. Any and all configurations to the Notifier BacNet/IP gateway (BacNet-GW-3) shall be undertaken by a qualified Notifier dealer under and in compliance with Notifier certifications and best practices TESTING AND CERTIFICATION A. The Contractor shall demonstrate the functionality of Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary Fire Interface upon completion of installation, documenting the result of all tests and providing these results to the Owner. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary Fire Interface shall be tested in accordance with the following: a. The Contractor shall conduct a complete inspection and test of all installed Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary Fire Interface equipment. This includes testing and verifying operation with connected equipment. b. The Contractor shall provide staff to test all devices and all operational features of the system for witness by the Owner s representative and the authority having jurisdiction. All testing must be witnessed by the Owner s representative prior to acceptance. c. The testing and certification shall take place as follows: i. Pro-Watch Notifier Secondary Fire Interface shall be tested in conjunction with the manufacturer s representative. ii. All deficiencies noted in the above test shall be corrected. iii. Test results shall be submitted to the consultant or Owner s representative. iv. The test and correction of any deficiencies shall be witnessed by the Owner s representative and noted. v. The Owner s representative shall accept the system. vi. The system shall be witnessed by the authority having jurisdiction. Any deficiencies noted during the testing must be corrected. The Pro-Watch Secondary Fire Interface is not Underwriters laboratories (UL 864) listed as a fire alarm control unit. It is
7 designed to provide only secondary informative monitoring. It shall under no circumstance be used in life safety applications. d. A letter of certification shall be provided to indicate that the tests have been performed, and all equipments are operational. END OF SECTION
B. After installation, the Owner shall be able to perform hardware configuration changes as desired without the services of the Integrator.
