Press the Silence buttn n the FSRSI. axtiiue&rxtwuxabxxzmtx 2. Determine the type fcnditin that caused the buzzer t sund: alarm, truble, supervisry, r mnitr. 3. Determine the cause fthe cnditin. Silencing ntificatin appliances Pressingthe Signal Silence & Drill buttn turns ffall audible devices. Visual devices rnac circuits mayrmay ntturn ff, depending n panel prgramming. When yu silence thesignals, the Signal Silenced LED lights, indicating that thentificatin appliances are ff. The panel desnt indicate a truble cnditin. If GENESIS, hrn/strbe, r hm-nly devices are used n NACs prgrammed fr GENESIS peratin, Signal Silence& Drill silences nly the hrns. WARNING: The ntificatin appliances shuld nt be silenced until the building is fully evacuated and the cause fthe alarm has been determined. T silence ntificatin appliances: 1. Press the Signal Silence & Drill buttn. When the aut signal silence timer is prgrammed When an event activates the ntificatin appliances, the 20- minute aut signal silence timer is activated. The ntificatin appliances areactivated frthe 20-minute perid. When the timer expires, any NACs that are prgrammed as silenceable aredeactivated, and the Signal Silenced LED is illuminated. Ifanther event takes place that activatesthe previusly silencedntificatin appliances, the Signal Silenced LED turns ff. At any time, yu can deactivate silenceable NACs by pressing Signal Silence & Drill. Nte: NACs activated by IDCs prgrammed as waterflw cannt be silenced until the activated devices are restred t nrmal. Afterthe devices restre, the Signal Silence & Drill buttn r the aut signal silence timer can silence the NACs. Resunding an alarm cnditin Pressingthe Signal Silence & Drill buttn againturns the audible devices back n ifthey were silenced. T resund ntificatin appliances: 1. T disable a NAjfr 1. Pressthe Disablebuttn fr the NAC that yu want t disable. Re-enabling an IDC r NAC Yu canre-enable a disabled IDC r NAC. When yu reenable an IDC r NAC: The cmmn Disable LED turns ff The IDC r NAC truble LED turns ff The cmmn Truble LED turns ffand the panel returns t nrmal The IDC r NAC LEDs are updated t shw current status (e.g. ifthe IDC r NAC is in truble, the Truble LED lights). After enabling an IDC, alarms frm that IDC areinhibited fr30 secnds. Duringthis time the IDC can be disabled t avid an unwanted alarm. T re-enable an IDC r NAC: 1. Press the Disable buttn fr the IDC rnac yuwant t re-enable. Using the drill cmmand Yu can use the drill cmmand t activate all fthe ntificatin appliance circuits. Pressing Drill activates all audibles and visuals accrding t the panel prgramming, but des nt activate the Alarmrelay. The FSDACT canbe prgrammedt transmit a drill cnditin, but it will never reprt the drillas an alarm. Drillwill nt perate with an activealarm r supervisry event at the panel. T perfrm a fire drill: 1. Pressand hld the Signal Silence & Drill buttn fr ne secnd. 2. T stp the drill, press and hld the Signal Silence& Drill buttn fr ne secnd. Using the walk test cmmand A walk test lets yu test IDC znes withut having t create an actual alarm cnditin. Yu can cnduct a walk test in silent r audible mde. In silent mde the audible devices (NACs) d nt sund. Walk test will nt peratewith an active alarmr supervisryevent at the panel. Znes shuld be placed in walk test ne at a time. This allws the balance fthe system t remain in service. In a walk test, the panel respnds t the first signalit receives and ignres all thers n that IDC until it clears that signal r the panel is reset The input must be restred t the nrmal state befre the next input is tested. When the input is restred, the panelautmatically resets the circuit being tested. The autmatic reset takes eight secnds. Afterthe circuit is reset the next device can be tested. The panel terminates the walk test ifany fthe fllwing ccur: The panel enters an alarm r supervisry state There are30 minutes finactivity n the zne being tested The panel is reset Walk Test is pressed When yu press Walk Test: The Walk Test LED flashes fr an audible walk test and is steady fr a silent walk test The panel enters a truble state. There is n fire prtectin fr the IDC in walk test. Ifan unselected IDC ges int alarmr truble, all prgrammedutputs perate as prgrammed. 1.5
