1 Divisin Intrusin Detectin System Versin Purpse Design Standard Intrusin Detectin ESUHSD s Intrusin Detectin design standard is intended t achieve unifrmity f functinality, peratin, maintenance, training, parts availability, and warranty peratins fr its intrusin detectin systems. The verall design and functin f intrusin detectin shall be cnsistent thrughut the District t prvide easy and intuitive perating systems while realizing cst effective peratinal slutins. This design standard als describes the descriptr prtcl that shall be used by system prgrammers t designate devices. This design standard is intended t establish and maintain a cnsistency in intrusin detectin systems frm campus t campus and frm building t building, thereby maximizing quick intrusin respnse activities, minimizing staff and emergency respnse persnnel training, and facilitating excellence in the quality f the educatinal and wrk facilities f East Side Unin High Schl District. Design Standard 1. Intrusin Detectin System East Side Unin High Schl District has standardized n Bsch G Series Intrusin Systems. N ther systems shall be cnsidered equal, in rder t make all systems cmpatible, which imprves functinality while reducing maintenance and perating csts. At each schl and District Office site, a series f decentralized intrusin detectin systems tgether prvide cmprehensive cverage. Individual systems cver a single building and/r gegraphically c-lcated grupings f buildings. There are nrmally multiple intrusin znes within each system. Bsch RPS user management sftware allws fr effective and efficient peratin f the decentralized intrusin detectin systems. 2. System Cmpnents Each installatin has a unique set f cverage requirements. Designers may select frm the fllwing cmpnents t develp a system that meets the requirements f the prject and the District. Prjects may have unique requirements that need cmpnents nt included in this design standard. Keypads shuld be placed indrs, near drs that will be used as entries. Ensure adequate keypads thrughut the prject fr ease and intuitin f peratin. c. Specify expanders as needed t supprt hmerun cables t each device. d.
