Glass Doctor service provider facility. The project is proposing 17 standard parking spaces and 1 ADA accessible parking space for a total of 18 proposed parking spaces. The proposed quantity of parking spaces is based on the current Glass Doctor facility in Meridian, ID. At the Meridian Facility the company has 9 employees with an additional 4 parking spaces for customers. These quantities have worked sufficiently for years. At the proposed facility in Garden City the company would assuming having equal or less employees because the office space is approximately the same. Glass Doctor service provider facility. Per City code 8-2C-36 the applicant is proposing the use to comply with the use of a Service Provider. The proposed project follows with Objective A in this code section because the proposed Site is either affronting street or commercially zoned property. The proposed project follows with Objective B because it maintains appropriate site lines and keeps the existing approved access points onto the property in order to prevent traffic hazards and nuisances. The proposed project intends to use paving, vegetative cover or other dustless materials for the project. Per Objective C, the client does not intend to use the site as a vehicular wrecking yard. Per Objective D, the project has a parking lot and dumpster facilities for orderly maintenance of materials and vehicles. Glass Doctor vehicle service & service provider facility. The site is restricted for development because the property fronts streets or common access drive on three of the four sides of the property. The primary access for the property is off of N. Gardner Lane with a secondary cross access for the property to the South off W. Carlton Bay Drive. The purpose of the project is to provide and showcase specialty glazing options and services provided by Glass Doctor. The proposed project will consist of a retail display area, waiting area, reception, sales offices as well as storage, mechanical area, service bay, maintenance area, break room and restrooms. The scope will include development of the entire site, including landscaping and pedestrian access onto the site. The intent of the project is to develop the proposed commercial building for use by the property owner. The proposed project will have a service bay that will contain the majority of maintenance service noise and screen vehicles during service.
