Located only 6 miles from Sugar Mountain, 8 miles from Beech Mountain and 3 miles from beautiful Downtown Banner Elk, and all they have to offer. Mountain View cabin sits on the ridge overlooking Grandfather Mountain. Here you will find the peace and tranquility you have been looking for. It is convenient to town, but far enough away to feel like you are 'away from it all'. The cabin is at the end of a State Maintained road and very private. Our comfortable Cabin features cathedral ceiling, and a loft, wood burning fireplace and a spectacular view. Enjoy the views of Grandfather Mountain and Sugar Mountain while relaxing in our 4 person hot tub on the back deck. We pride ourselves in the cleanliness of our cabin and hope you will appreciate it too. It will comfortably sleep a family of four or two couples. My cell phone number is Thank you, Marsha Ruppard Banner Elk Mtn Cabins Hot Tub The bromine for the hot tub is on top of the dresser in the master bedroom. Please put two teaspoons in the hot tub when you are finished using it for the day. (Not after each use.) It is not required if you do not use the hot tub. Using the bromine sanitizes the hot tub. There should never be more than 4 people in the hot tub at one time! More than 4 people causes the hot tub to malfunction and you will be charged the repair costs. The max safe water temperature is 101, temperatures above 101 are dangerous. If the water level gets below the top jets, please call me and I will come put more water in the tub and adjust the chemicals. Heater We leave the heater on a comfortable temperature for the fall and winter. If the cabin is too cold, please use the thermostats on the walls to turn on the electric heat. If you have questions about the monitor heater (beside the front door), please call me. Fireplace The cabin has a wood burning fireplace. Please only burn wood and make sure the damper is open. Do NOT start a fire on the morning of your departure. Make sure the fire is out and that the coals and ashes are cold at check out. Air Conditioning Please make sure all the windows and doors are closed while using the A/C. Gas Grill The grill should have sufficient propane for your use. There is also an extra tank, just in case. Should you need propane during your stay, the closest exchange is the Dollar General Store, a little over a mile from the cabin on Hwy 194. The utensils for the grill are in the kitchen drawer, beside the sink and oven. Please clean the grill and make sure to turn off the propane at the tank after you use it. Replace the grill cover securely after the grill has cooled. Trash The Recycling Center is just one mile from the cabin. At the end of Valle Vista, turn left onto Horse Bottom Rd and a sharp left onto Pigeon Roost. Continue onto NC-194 for.1 mile to a left at 2028 Balm Hwy. Paper, plastics and glass, as well as regular household trash can be dropped off here. The center is closed on Wednesday's and Sunday's. If your checkout is on Wednesday or Sunday, please leave the trash in the can on the front porch. Otherwise plese take it to the recycling center. Internet We have Fiber Optic WiFi. No password needed. Outdoor Furniture The cushions for the outdoor furniture are under the steps. Please bring them back inside after you are finished using them for the day. Please don't leave them out when it rains. Pets We want you to enjoy your vacation with your dog/dogs, but we do have to impose as few rules! Dogs are not allowed on beds or furniture. No dogs under one year old. Dogs can not be left in the cabin unattended, unless they are place in a portable kennel. Two dog maximum. You must walk your dog on a leash while on our property. Please clean up after your dog. We try to leave extra baggies in the cabin for you to use.

Please place all dirty linens (towels, washclothes, sheets, pillowcases,etc.) in the floor in front of the washer. Empty all trash cans and take trash to the recycling center. If your check out is on Sunday or Wednesday, please make sure all trash is bagged and place in can on front porch. Put all dirty dishes, coffee maker carafe and filter holder in the dishwasher (if you used it) and start it. Lock all windows and leave the front door unlocked. Have a safe trip home and we hope you will come back real soon!
