2 THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS / BID OPENING HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO DECEMBER 2, 2008, OPENING TIME REMAINS UNCHANGED THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS WERE RECEIVED FOR FURTHER CLARIFICATION FROM VENDOR A QUESTION 1: Can vendors be substituted? For example : first item: Hoshizaki, if Scottsman has the same type of machine could it be substituted? Another example would be the squeeze guards, Can I use a similar company to manufacture the same types? I ed the Architect about who vendor ADM (vendor for squeeze guards) is, and he does not know, could you please tell me who they are so I can contact them to get pricing? Refer to SECTION III SCOPE OF WORK / SPECIFICATIONS / PART 1 GENERAL / 1.3 SUBSTITUTIONS STANDARDS ADM information has been previously forwarded and is attached. NOTE: Refer to RESTRICTIONS APPLICABLE TO OFFERORS, Section II. INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS A GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS of the solicitation. Please cease any further communication with Honor College employees, agents or officials. QUESTION 2: Item (B1.1)- Hoskizaki- I noticed there is no Ice Bin on order. Is that correct? These ice machines sit on the soda machines. See item B1 for adaptor kits. QUESTION 3: Item (C05)- Victory model # HAS-1D-S7 does not exist. Maybe they meant to use Model: # HSA-1D-7- HD??

3 There was a typo error in the spec and the A and S were transposed. Victory s most current cut sheet still shows the S in front of the 7 and I am assuming the HD suffix if for the half doors as required. The correct model number according to Victory s literature therefore is HSA-1D-S7 with half door option. QUESTION 4: Item (D02)-- Advance Tabco does not make this, I feel this is the wrong vendor. True Manufacturing, Beverage-Aire and Victory do make similar equipment, The length is required. I would need to get a copy of the drawing,so I can make of the exact length, for the two door model come in several sizes. Where can I pick -up a drawing? The Deli and some sneeze guards were rearranged slightly mid summer. The following pieces were affected D01, D02, D12, C02, C08, I8.1, I20 and S04. Of those 8 items, 6 are specified correctly but may not show correctly on the currently issued K1. The revised PDF file referenced above will show the correct plan that is coordinated with the spec. Two items require specification modification. Item I8.1 must be revised from 44 to 46 long. All else remains the same. See revised/modified Item D02 in this amendment. ITEM NO. DO2 STAINLESS STEEL WORK TABLE (1 REQ D) Advanced Tabco Model TSS-304 Work table 30 wide top with no splash, 48 long w/ s.s. legs, side & rear crossrails, 14 gauge type 304 stainless steel top, ss bullet feet 6 legs QUESTION 5: Item (I02)- Vulcan model# 924A- this is an old model number (does not exist anymore), and the description list it as a 36" griddle plate (incorrect for the 924A was a 24" griddle plate). So do they want a 24" or 36" griddle plate and what is the depth 24" or 30": Depending on what you select the new model # would be 924RX, 924RX-30, 936RX or 936RX-30. The DHEC review required cleaning space between units so the originally specified 36 wide unit became 24 wide. The model number was revised and the body of the text was not. The correct unit is 924RX. Revise spec to read 924RX with a 24 wide griddle plate.

4 QUESTION 6: Item # 42: This note is from the T&S Brass Representative: NOTE: THE T&S B-1472 HOSE REEL IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. WE ARE QUOTING PER THE ITEMS LISTED IN THE SPECS. DOES NOT INCLUDE VALVES OR PIPING. IF THESE ITEMS ARE REQUIRED WE WILL NEED TO REVISE THE QUOTE FOR THIS ITEM. PLEASE VERIFY BEFORE BIDDING AND ORDERING. QUESTION 7: ITEM # X05--VITA-MIX HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED NEW MODEL # IS Substitution approved. Item #X05-Vita Mix has been changed to Model # QUESITON 8: ITEM # X07--LA CIMBALI M32 BISTRO DT2-- HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED BELOW IS THE UPDATE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY LA CIMBALI SALES REPRESENTATIVE Please note that the more current rendition of the M32 Bistro/2 automatic compact two group is the M29/2 with Turbosteam. This newer version allows a choice of manual or automatic frothing of milk with the Cimbali patented Turbosteam wand which turns the steam off at a selected temperature and automatically froths the milk in a pitcher for perfect cappuccino or latte. (The M32 Bistro/2 is no longer manufactured). The corresponding grinder is a heavy duty stainless steel exterior, parallel blade design with portioning

Items D08, I11, K19 ask for model # 7-ps-66; however, the spec on the equipment list states that the hand sinks needs: Hand Sink, wall model, 14 wide x splashes, with splash 10 front-to-back x 5 deep bowl, 20 gauge s/s/ construction, 12 high side

6 So the CORRECT MODEL would be 7-ps-60!! QUESTION 10: Items K15 ask for Model # TKSS-305 which is 60" long; however, the drawings show the table length to be 72" long and that would be Model # TKSS-306?? Which one should I bid?? Specification has been revised/modified to read: Advance Tabco TKSS-306 Work Table, 30 wide top, with splash at rear only, 72 long The remainder of the spec remains the same. QUESTION 11: Question about item # C06 and C I have contacted Advance Tabco's Design and Bid department about providing me cost information regaurding this project. Chris Ruddy ( ) was able to provide all information needed on this project except of item # in question. He said because of the angle of table the drop in sink (C06.1) will not fit appropriately. He suggest to use a squared off table in that space. - THIS IS WHAT WAS ON THE EQUIPMENT LIST: -ITEM NO. THE FOLLOWING QUESTION WAS RECEIVED FOR FURTHER CLARIFICATION FROM VENDOR B QUESTION 1: I was looking at the specifications for the kitchen equipment for this project, and noticed the dishwasher was specified to be a Champion. Is there any way that Hobart can be accepted as an approved alternate? The reason that I ask is that, to my knowledge, most of the commercial dishwashers (if not all) at USC are Hobart units. Please let me know if this is acceptable, and I will be happy to provide any additional info.
