OUR HISTORY In the 1960s, our founder introduced the first mobile heater to a winter construction site allowing jobsites to begin to operate year-round. After excelling at the production of portable heaters for several decades, temporary air conditioners and dehumidifiers were added to TEMP-AIR s portfolio in the mid-1990s. In the late-1990s, the Thermal Remediation pest control heat treatment division of TEMP-AIR, Inc. was launched as a spin-off of the company s construction portable heating business. 5 4 HEATING HEATING 5 DIRECT-FIRED HEATERS This is our most popular heater type for construction sites, providing warm, dry air to a space. Make-up air is air from the outdoors that is heated and then evenly distributed indoors in a controlled manner to replace air that is being exhausted. Installed either inside or outside, THP-series heaters draw 100-percent fresh air through the unit s intake and discharge tempered air controlled by a remote thermostat. These heaters operate similar to a permanent air handler, providing evenly distributed warm, dry air into a space. 6 6 HEATING HEATING 7 DIRECT-FIRED HEATERS This portable heater series works well to provide spot heating on construction sites. ELECTRIC HEATERS These heaters are ideal for jobsites where no gas is available or where flameless operations are required. CH-300 ETHP-60-4 CH-300 CH-1000 ETHP-150HS ETHP-15-4 CH-SERIES CH-series construction heaters are designed for portability and versatility with high discharge temperatures and comparatively lower fan induction ratios. These direct-fired heaters work well in loose enclosures such as under concrete deck pours, masonry enclosures, and spot heat situations. This series is ideal for sites where 115V power is available. These compact units contain remote thermostats which automatically cycle from low to high fire to maintain the desired space temperature. A control exists on the unit to verify proper air-flow before ignition can take place. Accessibility to high voltage and amperage power are required to run this type of heater. ETHP-series temporary heaters work well in confined spaces since they do not produce combustion emissions. Built-in digital temperature controls provide precise measurement of space and discharge temperatures while the thermostat automatically adjusts temperature output. 7 8 HEATING HEATING 9 INDIRECT-FIRED HEATERS This type of heater provides heat similar to a home furnace with zero products of combustion entering the space. IDF-750 MIDFO-1100 IDF-800 IDF-500 MIDFO-1100 MIDFO-800 IDF-SERIES Indirect-fired heaters are typically installed outside a structure with ductwork drawing the heated air inside the facility. This heater type works similarly to a home furnace by forcing outside air through a heat exchanger and into the space while diverting products of combustion outside of the space through a chimney. The IDF-series of indirect-fired heaters are recommended for cleanroom projects for pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, and other industrial applications where maintaining a controlled environment is crucial. HTHW-2000 HTHW-2000G HTHW-2000G HAH-250 HAH-250 HTHW-SERIES Mobile ground thawing units help bring winter construction sites to a work-ready state quickly, efficiently, and safely. HTHW-series units are perfect for thawing ground and preventing frost penetration in isolated, remote locations to prepare jobsites for dirt and concrete work throughout the winter season. The 50% propylene glycol mix (a low toxicity anti-freeze) is heated, run through a hose, and covered with curing blankets to thaw frozen ground. Hydro-Thaw mobile ground defrosting units can thaw up to 6,000 square feet of frozen ground and 12 inches deep per day. Hydronic heating systems use a boiler or heat exchanger to heat a glycol solution which is then pumped through flex hose connected to a portable heat exchanger or fan coil. A blower fan then moves air across the heated coil and into the space. Next, the heat exchangers heat, circulate, and reheat interior air within the structure resulting in minimal ventilation of the space. HAH-series heaters can also be used to thaw frozen ground or cure slabs and footings. STHP-4000 STHP-4000 STHP-4000 STHP-SERIES & TAH-SERIES STHP and TAH-series heaters can be used in structures where there is already a central steam boiler, hot water boiler, or chilled water plant onsite. These portable air handlers, when combined with steam or hot water, will provide dry, even heat or cooling to a space. This equipment works by circulating hot water, chilled water, or steam through a coil using a blower fan that moves air through the air handler. AIR HANDLERS This combination cooling and heating unit is used at a facility in conjunction with an existing on-site central steam boiler, central hot water boiler, temporary chiller, or temporary boiler.
