1 zero waste opportunities for uo housg residents & staff ON-CAMPUS RESIDENTS AND COMPOSTING Recyclg bs are provided each residence hall student room for ease transferrg recyclable materials to centralized recyclg sites Centralized recyclg/waste sites are located or next to each residence hall to facilitate proper sortg Residents sort recyclables to the followg categories: 1) Glass/Metal/, 2) and 3) Flattened Special collection of packg materials, such as extra cardboard and block styrofoam, durg Fall Move- Week g available Housg dg locations event collection services available EDUCATION & OUTREACH Partnership opportunities are available for residents through the Residence Hall Association (RHA) and Hall Goverments to create and support itiatives and events Educational tablg each term Residence Hall Education workshops available for schedulg for any hall or resident group Recycled art crafts, teractive promotional tablg and zero waste events customized for a hall available to all terested residents Food waste audits are conducted at dg locations to promote food waste reduction REUSE Water refill stations are available for refillg water contaers Housg Dg s Choose to Reuse punch card program, rewards refillable mug use with a free drk for every 9 uses Reusable dishware at all-you-care-to-eat dg halls (Carson and Barnhart) Reusables are provided at retail dg locations (Global Scholars, Hamilton and LLC) *Please return these reusables to any dg hall location* Year-end donation drive the residence halls collectg unwanted goodcondition items such as clothg, beddg and school supplies Contact the UO Program at (541) with questions, to request services or to schedule an educational event.
