3 DB500-X INTERCHANGEABLE DIE SET DESIGN DB500-X Die Sets feature a 3-piece design: TOP LEFT DIE TOP RIGHT DIE BOTTOM DIE ALL DIE SET DESIGNS TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION STANDARD CORD STOCK TOLERANCES AND ARE DESIGNED TO "CONTAIN" THE CORD STOCK AS OPPOSED TO "COMPRESSING" THE CORD STOCK. ALL DIE CAVITIES ARE MACHINED TOWARD THE LOWER DIAMETER OF THE CORD STOCK TOLERANCE RANGE. WHEN ORDERING DIE-SETS PLEASE BE SURE TO SPECIFY THE O-RING CORD SIZES THAT WOULD BE BONDED. If the desired cord sizes fall within the specified diameter range; the number of indicated holes in the corresponding column are automatically allowed. 9 *ADJUSTABLE HOLDING PRESSURE As with the EB-500 Model, the DB 500-X features adjustable toggle clamps that allow users to control the pressure of the clamping force on the cord stock. This allows the cord stock to be "contained " rather than "compressed", thereby eliminating score marks which can lead to leak paths on finished product. *NO DIE QUENCHING The toggle clamps lift the upper dies away from the cord stock allowing the user to quickly remove finished O-Rings. The unit is instantly ready to bond another O-Ring without the need for additional unit cooling time or die quenching. DB-X Die Holding Module *FULLY ASSEMBLED MODULE As with the Model DB-500 (photo on right), the DB500-X Die Holding Module is shipped fully assembled to the Temperature Control Module with upper toggle clamps, two cartridge heaters (500 W total) and a "J" type thermocouple. This eliminates the need to push/pull these wires in and out during die changes. Model DB-500
