1 Fixed Stations Operational Manual Using Hardwired Fixed Emergency Call Stations The Companion One system is compatible with a number of fixed call station styles. From hardwired intercom stations to hardwired emergency call stations, each station is tailored to meet the needs of your community. This guide outlines how to properly trigger and reset hardwired emergency call stations that are mounted (or fixed ) in your residents apartments or in your community s common areas. Fixed Hardwired Emergency Pull Stations The model ECSA-x and RCSA-x call stations are each fixed to a wall and wired directly back to your HDCA hardwired data router. All RCSA-x stations have a red light indicating an emergency call is in progress. Only ECSA-x stations equipped with dome-light capability will have an emergency call light. (This is designated with the letter D following the station model. For example, ECSA-D.) Triggering an Alarm To trigger an emergency call using a hardwired pull station, simply pull on the cord affixed to the faceplate. This pulls down a black switch, which in turn sends a signal along the Companion Bus and triggers an alarm on your desk console. The alarm must be reset at the station from which the call originated to be able to clear it from your desk console. Resetting an Alarm Resetting an ECSA-x or an RCSA-x station is as simple as pushing the black switch on the faceplate back to the up position. Depending on your programming, the alarm will either clear automatically from your console, or you will be given the option to clear it manually. Naming Key Each letter following the model number denotes certain functionality for that emergency call or check-in station.
