(Apartment D) 4/26/ Wed. Intentional (Burning hair in hallway) Donnell Hall (near Rm. 402) 4/29/ Sat. Intentional (Trash can on fire) (parking lot) Lighting the Christmas decoration on fire that were on the dorm doors(3). Open flames A student was cooking using the stove and the grease caught on fire and the smoke from the burnt grease set off the smoke detector in the kitchen. Open flames A student was burning some hair in the hallway, another student poured water on it. Open flames Someone had set a trash can on fire (in parking lot). (Unknown Origin) Goldthorp Exterior fire north west corner of Goldthorp. Fire was in a garbage can that was located outside of the building, cause of fire is unknown. Damage was isolated to the garbage can only. OPEN FLAMES 12/05/ Sat. (Unintentional) Grease fire while Chlapaty Center Snack Bar at the back of the grill. (Unintentional) A student was Cassat Hall igniting fireworks (illegally) next to the building, some dry leaves caught fire. 09/23/ Tue. (Unintentional) Smoke- from an Chlapaty Hall over loaded washing machine caused belt to over heat and smoke. NO OPEN FLAMES. (Electrical-Machinery) Lower level West side custodial room. Smoke- from grilling outside the Park Village 2465 building (building exterior) 11/08/ Tue. Smoke- burnt food in the Cassat Hall (Room 405) food set off the smoke detector in the kitchen. A student was grilling some food outside the building a window was left open and smoke got inside the room and set of the smoke detector. A student was cooking macaroni and cheese in his room (409) and the smoke from the burnt food set off the smoke detector Fire Log General Location of the Fire 04/19/ Tue. Electrical Fire- rear burner was engulfed in flames 2141 Hale Street A student was cooking dinner and the rear burner to the electrical stove became engulfed in flames causing the food to burn and set off the smoke detector. No damage occurred only smoke in the kitchen area. 09/11/ Sun. Smoke- burnt cooking oil Park Village 2465 A student in Apartment G was cooking and some cooking oil was stilled on the stovetop which caused it to smoke and set off the smoke detector. No damage occurred only smoke in the suite and some in the hallway. 10/08/ Sat. Smoke- burnt popcorn Cassat Hall A student in room 313 was using a to cook popcorn, popcorn was burnt causing the smoke to set off the smoke detector. No damage occurred only smoke in the room and some in the hallway. 11/07/ Mon. Electrical Fire- food dehydrator on top of stovetop left turned on Park Village 2475 A student in Apartment A. was cooking jerky place the food dehydrator machine on the stovetop unaware that the stovetop was on. This caused the electrical wire to the dehydrator to start a small electrical fire. Damage to the food dehydrator and some smoke damage to the suite $ Fire Log General Location of the Fire
