2 International TÜV Rheinland Symposium in Functional Safety in Industrial Applications Scope The worldwide automation industry has realized increasing development opportunities and achieved major growth in the international arena. The implementation of safety-related automation applications including programmable systems is a standard in most application areas. This includes programmable controllers, field devices, bus systems and their configuration and programming by the user. The functional safety of these devices in operation has to be guaranteed for the protection and safety of persons, environment and systems. International standards, as for example the IEC 61508, IEC 62061, IEC 61511, IEC 61131, ISO and ISO describe requirements, which have to be fulfilled during development and use of systems. The safety management of the complete life cycle of complex applications and devices is gaining more and more importance. The Symposium will present the state-of-the-art of safety-related applications. The accompanying exhibition will show newest developments and trends. Open discussions will be possible during breaks and after presentations. You will then receive a written confirmation of your registration and details how to get to the symposium. The number of participants is limited. Please ensure your participation by early registration. 580 (plus VAT) For early registration until August 31, (plus VAT) The fee includes the workshop, conference proceedings, refreshments, lunch and dinner. The fee (free from all deductions) is payable on receipt of our invoice (payment can also be done by credit card). Arrangements The organizer reserves the right to substitute speakers and/or postpone the conference or make changes to the programme. Cancellation of Registration Cancellation of registration must be submitted in writing. Please understand that due to the limited number of participants, we are obliged to retain 50 % of the fee as a cancellations which arrive later than 14 days before the start of the conference. The entire fee must be paid in case of cancellations which arrive later than 7 days before the start of the conference and participants who leave during the conference. Liability If an event must be cancelled due to reasons for which TÜV Rheinland Industrie Service GmbH, ASI, is answerable, only fees which have already been paid will be refunded.
