EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEMBERS Mr. Pankaj Dharkar is a leading MEP & Green Building Consultant of India having rich experience of more than 33 years and has to his credit, designing of more than 3000 projects of various applications in India and abroad. He is currently responsible for the conceptualization and planning of MEP Services & green / sustainable buildings. He is also the consultant for upcoming PALAIS ROYALE at Mumbai which is at present THE TALLEST RESIDENTIAL BUILDING to get LEED-PLATINUM pre-certification Rating in the world. He is associated with the Net Zero Energy Lab Building Project coming up at CEPT, Ahmedabad, with support of USAID/ECO-III. He is working as an MEP & Green Building Consultant, heading M/s Pankaj Dharkar & Associates, having offices at Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Indore & Bangalore. He is an active member of prestigious organizations and has to his credit, a series of acclamations and awards, for his voluminous work. PANKAJ DHARKAR RAJAN LUTHRA IMM PAST Mr. Luthra is a security management and technology professional working in the Chairman s Office in Reliance Industries Ltd. He is amongst India s foremost security automation experts to have designed and program-managed electronic security systems for critical infrastructure, retail & telecom sites and other premises. He has a keen interest and strong competencies in Smart Buildings, Smart Cities, UAVs, Biometrics, Cyber Resilience & Cognitive Computing. He has architected the world s largest integrated security automation solution covering thousands of sites, tens of thousands of cameras & sensors managed in real-time from advanced Security Operation Centres. He has been instrumental in setting up of India s first Social Media Lab for Mumbai Police, a NASSCOM initiative in partnership with Reliance Foundation. Mr. Luthra is the Immediate Past President of Fire & Security Association of India. He is also a member of the Bureau of Indian Standards Sub-Committee on Alarms & Electronic Security Systems. Mr. Raghavan has spent more than 25 years in the Fire, Security & Engineering Industry in the South Asia & Middle East Regions. He started off as an entrepreneur with Stenco Engineering Company Pvt Ltd in 1988, Mumbai - India which was later acquired by Tyco Fire & Security. Since 2010, he is Director - Business Development, Tyco Thermal Controls, covering South Asia, Middle East & Africa. He is responsible to position Tyco Thermal Controls brands, products and services in markets and sales channels and establish Tyco Thermal Controls policies and standards for Marketing, Product Management, Marketing Communications, and e-business in the region. Since October 2012, he is Director - Business Development/ Public Affairs for Tyco Fire and Security. 3 KOYELI DUTT TREASURER Ms. Koyeli Dutt is the Managing Director of Technico (India) Pvt. Ltd., one of the oldest fire protection companies in Eastern India. She is a Fire Protection Engineering graduate from the University of Maryland at College Park, USA. She has been working in the fire protection industry in India for the last fifteen years. Koyeli is the daughter of Late Mr B K De, who was one of the pioneers of the fire protection system industry in Eastern India, an industry veteran and the founder of Technico (India) Pvt. Ltd. Technico has been serving the needs of industry since Under Koyeli s leadership, Technico is covering new grounds and has pan-india business operations, with a strong presence in the power, aluminium and steel sectors. Koyeli is a member of the NFPA and takes an active interest in promoting fire and safety awareness in society. ADVISORY COUNCIL Mr. Khan has been involved with Fire and Security Industry for the past 22 years in various capacities focusing on marketing, selling, executing turnkey projects, manufacturing and distribution. He is Member of the Bureau of Indian Standards Committee CED 22, formulating the Indian Standards on Clean Agents, also a Member of Halon Alternative options Committee (HAOC) for selection of Halon Alternatives for India. He has undergone training in Italy, Spain in design and software application in Fire Suppression System. He set up the first UL listed Filling station in India. Presently, he is Managing Director of Topaz Fire Systems Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, manufacturers of Fire Suppression Systems Clean Agents, Watermist, Electrical panel protection using polymer tubes etc. He has held positions as President and Secretary of Fire & Safety Association of India (FSAI). LIAQUT ALI KHAN BALACHANDRAN D. D. Balachandran, graduate in mechanical engineering, has wide experience in Design, Engineering, Testing & Commissioning of entire range of Fire Protection systems like: Fire Hydrant System, Medium & High Velocity Water Spray System, Fire Alarm System, Gas Suppression System, Foam System, Passive Fire Protection System. Most of his fire protection system designs are approved by TAC (Tariff Advisory Committee). His special focus is on industrial fire protection system. He is a member of CED22, Fire Fighting Committee of Bureau of Indian Standards, President of Institution of Fire Engineers (UK), Southern India branch, Chennai. He is a member of various National & International Fire Protection bodies like Fire Protection Association of India, Fire & Safety Association of India, National Fire Protection Association of USA, Institute of Security Management, Institute of Safety Engineers He is also CEO of M/s. Agni Controls, Manufacturer & Exporter of Specialised Fire Protection equipments like Flame Detectors and Gas Suppression systems. Arun Khazanchi is Senior Management Professional with over 25 years of experience in high-impact senior leadership roles that emphasized growth and profitability with team building strategies within the Life Safety, Security and Automation Industry in Indian subcontinent (SAARC), Middle East and Africa. He is currently CEO at Videonetics Technologies P Ltd. a leading Indian software development company. 4 PRAMOUD RAO Since 1994, the year of inception of Zicom Electronic Security Systems Ltd. Pramoud Rao has led the Electronic Security movement in India in many ways. In the process, he also made Zicom a name synonymous with security. Mr. Narendra N.S. is the Chairman of Firepro Systems. He is a first generation entrepreneur and has about 25 years of experience in the Fire Safety and Security industry. He is a qualified Electronics Engineer from Mysore University. He has been an active member of the Fire and Security Association of India and is a past President of FSAI. NARENDRA N. S. SRINIVAS TRAINING, LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE Mr. Srinivas has done M.Tech (Power systems with Emphasis on High Voltage Engineering) B.Tech (Electrical & Electronics), is Chartered Engineer, Certified Energy auditor by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Accredited Professional Indian Green Building Council, Master Trainer- Energy Conservation. He is Member Indian Plumbing Association (IPA). Presently, Chairman of Hyderabad Chapter, Member Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI), Founder President of Hyderabad Chapter & Representing FSAI in NBC-Part IV as Member- Indian Society of Lighting Engineers; Founder Secretary of Hyderabad Chapter. He has worked on various Projects like IT/ Healthcare ( around 30 Hospitals), Commercial, Malls & Multiplexes, Industrial, Retail & Residential Projects. TRAINING, LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE Mr. Dey started his career in the Fire Industry in the year He has worked in various fire protection organizations since 1979 to 1992 & then onwards he is serving as a Fire Engineering Consultant. He has cleared Graduateship Examination (G.I. Fire E) from The Institution of Fire Engineers India & Membership Examination (M.I. Fire E) from The Institution of Fire Engineers (U.K). 5 ANUPAM MAJUMDAR TRAINING, LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE Mr. Majumdar, a Mechanical Engineer, working in the field of Fire Alarm & Protection System for the last 33 years, is responsible for Design of Fire Protection System & Commissioning. In 1989, he started his own business, Perfect Engineering Company. VICE TRAINING, LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE Mr. Bhuskute is a Risk Management, Fire & Safety Consultant giving his services to insurance companies, reputed groups of industries & various project consultants. He is an accredited professional for advice & approval of Fire Protection Systems and recognized by all major government & private insurance companies. He is also a visiting faculty at various fire & safety educational institutions at Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Pune, Jodhpur & Indore. He also delivers lectures on various fire protection and risk management subjects. M. M. BHUSKUTE SANDEEP GOEL VICE STANDARD & CODES Mr. Goel has over 18 Years of Building Services Consulting Experience and has worked as a design engineer. He has been closely involved in the design, coordination and innovation of MEP Services Design of over 100 Projects which also including over 30 Hotels and Hospitals along with some prestigious projects with varied challenges of mixed occupancy, hospitality, health care, commercial, retail, high rise buildings, and large plotted development projects. Mr. Goel, a Civil Engineer by qualification, was included for his works and recognized in USA s - Marquis Who s Who in The World in 2010 edition of their publication. Mr. Goel has attended over 100 Design Coordination Meetings Overseas at US, Canada, UK, Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Nepal and given his significant contribution in the engineering design solutions to Architects, Structural Engineers, Landscape Architects and to other Owners & Engineers. He has broadcasted Webinars, presented White Papers and Lectures in over 80 Conferences and Workshop on subject related to Energy, Fire Safety, Smoke Management, Building Services in Tall Buildings/ Hotels and Healthcare, Thermal Storage, Waste to Energy, Water Conservation, Approach to Value Engineering, LEED Credits & other topics. STANDARD & CODES Mr. Muzumdar started his professional career in an automotive industry and was involved in design, development and validation of safety critical products for Automobiles. He worked at Underwriters Laboratories India from 2003 till 2014 and was heading operations for UL s fire protection business in Asia. Mr. Santhosh Muzumdar has been trained in fire protection sciences and has worked extensively with manufacturers and testing laboratories in USA, UK, Middle East, China, Korea and South East Asian countries on certification of fire protection products. He is currently a member of several standard forming committees on fire and security in India and has been actively associated with Research Institutes, Government Policy and Coordination, Fire Departments and Industry Experts to identify gaps in safety practices and develop improvement plans. Shivaramakrishnan an experienced Mechanical Engineer with MFSE (Master of Fire Safety Engineer UK) & member of NFPA, he has acquired extensive experience in India & abroad and is associated with the Safety & Security field for over 17 years. He is well versed in various statutory requirements of Government agencies, Insurance agencies, Indian Standards, NFPA, BS & FM / UL Approval listed. Mr. Shivaramakrishnan is the founder of S & S Consulting Engineers, a Chennai based Consulting Company, which provides consultancy in value engineering, project management, third party inspection, design verification, NOC documents, Fire auditing and much more. GOVERNMENT RELATIONS & REGULATORY Mr. Pandya is currently the President, India Region for United Technologies, Building & Industrial Systems, leading business units across various segments, which include OTIS, Carrier, Edwards, Lenel, Kidde, Toshiba and a number of other brands in the building space. Prior to March 2015, he was the Managing Director of Climate, Controls & Security India region from early In his current role, he leads United Technologies portfolio across the commercial buildings division including sales & distribution, manufacturing, engineering, system integration, profitability, localization and customer leadership. He is a certified accountant from the English Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds a Bachelor s degree in Commerce from Delhi University. GAURANG PANDYA ANAND BAGALWADI GOVERNMENT RELATIONS & REGULATORY Mr. Bagalwadi, an Electrical Engineer & post-graduate in Industrial Management, is Director Fire & Security Products with UTC CCS India, a business of United Technologies. He has to his advantage a concrete experience of over 11 years in the Security industry, including his stint at GE Security. He has been working with UTC for the last 5 years, managing the Fire & Security products, which includes verticals of Fire Detection, Fire Suppression and Electronic Security. VICE PROGRAMS EVENTS / STUDENT ACTIVITIES Mr. Dominic is the Managing Director for Fire & Security Distribution Ltd. equipped with a graduation degree in Commerce and technical & leadership certificate from DATS & Honeywell. Previously, he was with Aditya Infotech, Mircom, DATS, Vista, Honeywell in senior positions. Dominic gained rich experience of 19 years in handling Project execution, Product Distribution and Marketing. One of the founders of FSAI, Dominic has been actively and tirelessly involved in developing the association both in terms of size and value it can offer to all its members. ASHISH RAKHEJA DEVIDAS KULKARNI VICE TECHNOLOGY EVOLUTION/STRATEGIC INITIATIVE & ADVOCACY Mr. Devidas Kulkarni is the Head of Building Technologies division of Siemens Ltd. He has been with Siemens for the past 21 years, and had held several senior management positions in Energy and Infrastructure & Cities sectors. Prior to his current role, he was the head of Medium Voltage business unit. He had garnered rich and varied managerial experience, having worked in diverse functions ranging from Manufacturing to Corporate Strategy, to Quality, to Industrial Engineering, to Project Management. He has several achievements and awards to his credit. He was conferred with the coveted Siemens TOP+ award in three consecutive years from 1999 to 2001 for Product Innovation, Benchmarking Practices and Quality. Before joining Siemens, he worked with Mahindra & Mahindra for nine years. He is a founding member of Indian Green Building Congress (IGBC). He is also on the executive council of AEEE (Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy). MEMBERSHIP PROMOTION Mr. Arora, CEO & Founder of M/s Pacific Fire Controls has an experience of over 25 years in the field of Passive Fire Protection. He has introduced various technologies in the fire industry such as Fire Rated Glass, Panic Bars, Evac+Chair, Fire Curtain etc. All these products have been extensively used into the Indian Market & his research & development towards the new technology have always remained the part of his energetic working. 8 M. C. MUTHANNA VICE MEMBERSHIP PROMOTION Mr. Muthanna is an Engineer with over 25 years of experience in areas of Sales, Planning, Manufacturing and Project Management. He was the Bangalore Chapter President of the Fire and Security Association of India (FSAI) and the National Executive Board. Mr. Muthanna is the Managing Director of Firepro Systems, an acknowledged leader in Infrastructure Protection and Safety. He provides strong leadership to Firepro Systems scale-up plans. His experience and leadership is a source of strength for the overall operations of the business. In the past 11 years, he has held different responsibilities across Sales, Business Development, Talent Management and Strategic Sourcing functions. Mr. Muthanna has worked with organisations like MICO-BOSCH and Molex Incorporated amongst clients across diverse sectors in the past. BRANDING AND MARKETING Mr. Yadav is the General Manager - Honeywell Fire Systems. He brings extensive experience of 17 years in Fire & Security Industry with 4 years of Leadership role in Fire Systems. Proficient in exploring & developing new markets, brand promotion, new product launch, accelerating growth and achieving desired sales goals; hands-on experience in managing large accounts and territories as well as finding and converting prospects to customers; Sound knowledge of workforce management, sales, distribution, budgeting, human resource management and logistics. He has been recognized and awarded multiple times in Honeywell. Prior to joining Honeywell, Sharad was Regional Manager for Eureka Forbes Ltd and worked there for more than 8 years and was instrumental in setting up their new Security Systems Division and wass recognized multiple times for his performance.
