1 PHOTOELECTRIC Tubular sensors S15 SERIES The new S15 series of M18 tubular sensors offers both plastic case version S15-PA and stainless steel IP69K housing version S15-NA. S15-PA plastic version is recoended for cost and space savings with a wide selection of optic functions, ranging fro 5 retroreflex to 1 and 12 background suppression. Each odel is available with or without trier setting to fit the ost varied applications in assebling and conveyor lines, processing and packaging achinery. In order to axiize the installation flexibility, the sensor connectivity is available with 2, M12 4-pole connector or even a version. A dedicated input allows the Ligh/ Dark odel selection. S15-NA etal version include a widest optic function selection, all equipped with trier setting and etal M12 connector to iprove the sensor robustness. Thanks to the IP69K protection to frequent washdowns and corrosion-resistant AISI316L stainless steel housing, these sensors are recoended for processing and packaging achinery in food, beverage, dairy, and pharaceutical industries, as well as paper and printing achinery, conveyor lines, and aterial handling in general. 2 INSTALLATION The sensor can be by eans of the M18x1 threaded body using CH.24 nuts (1.5 N axiu tightening torque) or low-profile flared nut provided specifically supplied for various orientable fixing brackets are available to ease sensor positioning (please refer to the accessories listed in the general catalogue). The operating distance is easured fro the front surface of the sensor lens. Proxiity (C and D) odels: the object has to be oved closer or further away fro the front surface of the sensor lens to iprove detection. In case of lateral translation, the object ust ove as indicated in the figure. In odels with the sensitivity trier and the green LED (STABILITY), we can obtain an optial installation. Turn the trier and ove sensor until the yellow LED (OUT) and the green LED (STABILITY) switch ON peranently, in order to ount the sensor in the correct position.
