2 General Evacuation Information for Lassen Hall When evacuation is necessary, occupants must leave the building immediately and quietly by the nearest designated exit or as advised. Appropriate Lassen Hall designees will direct building occupants to a safe area. Evacuation meeting areas for each floor are as follows: 1 st Floor: Large grassy area beyond the Roundhouse North of the Rose Garden. (Near to the distinct crooked tree). 2 nd Floor: Near the large concrete sculpture in the main quad area just outside of Lassen Hall North of the Rose Garden. 3 rd Floor: Area in front of the Rose Garden just past the Roundhouse. ** In the event the evacuation areas are not available the alternate site is just South West of the Yosemite Hall (YSM) DO NOT use elevators in the case of fires or earthquakes. When evacuating, building occupants should walk, remain calm, and grasp handrails on stairwells. DO NOT RE-ENTER building until instructed to do so by the appropriate authorities. IMPORTANT All emergency notifications and fire alarms will be considered genuine! Evacuation of Persons with Disabilities 1. Evacuation of persons with disabilities is the highest priority in all emergencies. 2. Any student with disabilities should prepare for an emergency ahead of time by instructing a classmate or co-worker on how to assist him/her in the event of an emergency. 3. If assistance is not immediately available, disabled persons should remain near the stairwell landing or in the elevator lobby; rescue personnel will first check all exit corridors and exit stairwells for trapped persons.
