Power supply The ATM draws power from long life internal 12 VDC gel-cell batteries, the mains supply, or from its own (optional) solar panel, making it suitable for operation in almost any situation. Extremely low power consumption (40 ma) means up to 10 days continuous operation between battery charges, The ATM can also be set to sleep mode between monitoring events for efficient power usage. Standard triaxial geophone with a frequency bandwidth of 4.5 Hz to 500 Hz is supplied with both an aluminium baseplate and soil spikes to couple with all surfaces Low frequency triaxial geophone is available in 1 Hz or 2 Hz models where strict compliance monitoring parameters are required Triaxial geophones can be supplied as standard range (0-50 mm/sec), high range (0-100 mm/sec) or low range (0-7 mm/sec) peak particle velocity (PPV), providing maximum flexibility for ground vibration studies. Annual calibration ensures that the geophones continue to meet clients exacting requirements. Uniaxial 28 Hz and 14 Hz geophones are available, ranging up to 1000 mm/sec PPV, for near field diagnostic monitoring of underground mining and surface blasts Accelerometers (by various manufacturers) can be supplied where vibration acceleration measurement is preferred to velocity Linear weighted microphone (2 Hz to 500 Hz) measures to 140 dbl at a resolution of 0.1 dbl, accurately capturing overpressure (airblast) data from blast events. The microphone is protected from the elements by a rugged cover plate and hydrophobic wind sock, and is supplied with poles for mounting at the correct height. Demountable Strain Gauge (DSG) offers fundamental information on structural impact, such as the measurement of "cracks" in buildings. Measuring in microstrain or micrometers, this sensor can be connected to the ATM at the same time as the triaxial geophone. It is shipped with mounting brackets, and once installed is auto-zeroed to provide baseline data. ACCESSORY OPTIONS + Alarm disco light, switched on when a programmed alarm level is exceeded, is powered from the monitor and can be daisy-chained with up to three lights. It is an ideal accessory for vibration sensitive construction projects, and available with 15 metre extension cables Reset button for alarm light allows warning lights to be switched off without opening the ATM case, and without interrupting data logging. 5 EASYLINK EasyLink the Simple Way to talk to an ATM! Texcel s proprietary EasyLink software provides a straightforward way to configure and retrieve data from an ATM, and is where blast and vibration reports are created. A series of Wizards allow novice users to be gently guided through the monitor set up process, and to produce high quality reports which can be customised to include clients logo and details. A series of blast report templates are also provided enabling data to be presented in a variety of international standard formats. The final element of the EasyLink family is Schedular, which automates the data retrieval and configuration of remote monitors, particularly useful when a customer has several permanently installed ATM s. Running under all versions of Microsoft Windows operating system, Texcel EasyLink is the simple way to talk to an ATM. Typical Easylink Software Wizard The standard version of EasyLink also lets users create ATM duty timetables, enabling the monitor to go into sleep mode when monitoring is not required, hence saving power. For more advanced applications, EasyLink Professional software is available with features such as remote access (via modem), alarm output operation, SMS messaging, and ViewW waveform analysis module. ViewW is designed for high-end users where a suite of analysis tools are available, including FFT, integration and differentiation. PHONE-A-BLAST Detailed Vibration Analysis Customisable Blast Report Phone-a-Blast! With a cellular modem equipped ATM a typical event such as quarry blast data can be broadcast via short message service (SMS) to up to 15 recipients within seconds. This capability works equally well with GSM or CDMA carriers. Similarly in the construction environment a warning message can be sent via SMS once a strict vibration limit has been exceeded. This SMS triggering function can work the other way also, with a mobile phone activating the ATM to start recording. On large sites with several monitors, a trigger unit located close to the blast can broadcast an SMS trigger message to activate compliance monitors located at sensitive sites, for example on the lease boundary.
