Mangoes: allow a 40 day withholding period from the time of the last application to the commencement of cropping. Wheat: allow a 50 day withholding period between last application and harvest or grazing. Table grapes: allow a 60 day withholding period from the time of application until the commencement of harvesting. Wine grapes: allow a 100 day withholding period from the time of application until the commencement of harvesting. NOTE: The recommended withholding period between last application and harvest meets local residue requirements but may not meet export requirements. If the treated crop is intended for the export market, consult the relevant exporting body before application of the product, regarding pre-harvest interval requirements. Apply only during the dormant stage to deciduous fruit trees. Do not add oil to Tokuthion 960 EC sprays when applying to guavas. Do not spray citrus trees during very hot weather or when trees are wilted, drought stricken or suffering from any other physiological disorder. Do not apply to citrus when trees are wet with dew or if rain is imminent. Citrus trees should be skirted and treatment for ant control made so as to encourage and maintain good biological control. Do not sprinkle-irrigate citrus within 2 days of spraying. Poisonous when absorbed through the skin or swallowed or inhaled. Toxic to fish and wildlife. FLAMMABLE - DO NOT STORE OR SPRAY NEAR OPEN FLAME. Store in a cool, dry place away from food and feedstuffs. Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals. In case of poisoning CALL A DOCTOR AND MAKE THE LABEL AVAILABLE TO HIM/HER. RE-ENTRY: Do not enter treated area within 1 day after treatment unless wearing protective clothing. AERIAL APPLICATION: Notify all inhabitants of the immediate area to be sprayed and issue the necessary warnings. Do not spray over or allow drift to contaminate adjacent areas or water. 3 Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions the registration holder does not warrant that it will be efficacious under all conditions because the action and effect thereof may be affected by factors such as abnormal climatic and storage conditions; quality of dilution water, compatibility with other substances not indicated on the label and the occurrence of resistance of the pest against the remedy concerned as well as by the method, time and accuracy of application. The registration holder furthermore does not accept responsibility for damage to crops, vegetation, the environment or harm to man or animal or for lack of performance of the remedy concerned due to failure of the user to follow the label instructions or to the occurrence of conditions which could not have been foreseen in terms of the registration. Consult the supplier in the event of any uncertainty. PRECAUTIONS: Do not inhale spraymist. Wash contaminated clothing daily. Wash with soap and water after use. Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst mixing or applying or before washing hands and face. Avoid drift of spray on to crops, grazing, rivers or dams or areas not under treatment. Clean applicator after use or before using with other remedies. Dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate crops, grazing, rivers or dams. Rinse empty container three times with a volume water equal to at least one tenth of that of the container and add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank before disposing of the container in the prescribed manner. Destroy empty container by perforation and flattening and never use for any other purpose. Prevent contamination of food, feedstuffs, drinking water and eating utensils. SYMPTOMS OF HUMAN POISONING Headache, fatigue, faintness, giddiness, excessive sweating, nausea, abdominal pains, vomiting, diarrhoea, tightness of the chest, anxiety, blurred vision, muscle twitching beginning in the eyelids and tongue, small pupils, respiratory distress, convulsions, coma. FIRST AID TREATMENT Remove patient from source of poisoning to a well ventilated area and keep him quiet and reassured. Remove contaminated clothing and rinse contaminated body area thoroughly with plenty of soap and cold water. Do not rub skin. Flush contamination out of eyes with clean water for 15 minutes. If water diluted mixture has been swallowed, induce vomiting by tickling the back part of the throat. If concentrate has been swallowed, firstly give copious quantities of either beaten egg white, starch solution or Milk of Magnesia before inducing vomiting. Repeat until vomit fluid is clear and free from smell of poison. TAKE THE PATIENT TO THE NEAREST DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY. Administer artificial respiration or closed chest cardiac massage if necessary. Do not apply direct mouth to mouth respiration. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN Administer Atropine sulphate intravenously (1-4 mg) every 5-10 minutes until signs of atropinization (dry flushed skin and tachycardea), 2-PAM 50 mg/kg up to total dose of 1-2 g or 66% of this dose of PROTOPAM. Repeat oximes if necessary. Do not give morphine. RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT: For resistance management, Tokuthion 960 EC is a group code 1B insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Tokuthion 960 EC and other group code 1B insecticides. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used TOKUTHION 960 EC/06/08/2013 3

4 repeatedly. These resistant insects may not be controlled by Tokuthion 960 EC or any other group code 1B insecticides. To delay insecticide resistance: Avoid exclusive repeated use of insecticides from the same insecticide group code. Alternate with products from different insecticide group codes. Integrate other control methods (chemical, cultural, biological) into insect control programs. For specific information on resistance management contact the registration holder of this product. AERIAL APPLICATION : Aerial application of Tokuthion 960 EC may only be done by a registered Aerial Application Operator using a correctly calibrated, registered aircraft according to the instructions of SANS (Aerial Application of Agricultural Pesticides). Ensure that the spray mixture is distributed evenly over the target area and that the loss of spray material during application is restricted to a minimum. It is therefore essential that the following criteria be met: Volume: A spray mixture volume of 30 per hectare is recommended. As this product has not been evaluated at a reduced volume rate, the registration holder cannot guarantee efficacy, or be held responsible for any adverse effects if this product is applied aerially at a lower volume rate than recommended above. Droplet coverage: 30 to 40 droplets per cm² must be recovered at the target area. Droplet size: A droplet spectrum with a VMD of 250 to 280 microns is recommended. Limit the production of fine droplets less than 150 microns (high drift and evaporation potential) to a minimum. Flying height: Maintain the height of the spray boom at 3 to 4 metres above the target. Do not spray when aircraft dives, is in a climb or when banking Use suitable atomising equipment that will produce the desired droplet size and coverage, but which will ensure the minimum loss of product. The spraying system must produce a droplet spectrum with the lowest possible Relative Span. Position all the atomisers within the inner 60 to 75 % of the wingspan to prevent droplets from entering the wingtip vortices. The difference in temperature between the wet and dry bulb thermometers, of a whirling hygrometer, should not exceed 8 C. Stop spraying if the wind speed exceeds 15 km/h. Stop spraying under turbulent, unstable and dry conditions during the heat of the day. Spraying under temperature inversion conditions (spraying in or above the inversion layer) and/or high humidity conditions (relative humidity 80 % and above) may lead to the following: - reduced efficacy due to suspension and evaporation of small droplets in the air (inadequate coverage). - damage to other sensitive crops and/or non-target areas through drifting of the suspended spray cloud away from the target field. Ensure that the Aerial Spray Operator knows exactly which fields to spray. Obtain an assurance from the Aerial Spray Operator that the above requirements will be met and that relevant data will be compiled in a logbook and kept for future reference. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: USE ONLY AS INDICATED COMPATIBILITY: Tokuthion 960 EC may be mixed with Winter Oil, and Thiram WP as recommended for scab (Fusicladium) on apples, pears and certain diseases on fruits at the greentip/budswell stage. Tokuthion 960 EC, when used on grapevines, should be sprayed alone and not in a tank mixture with other chemicals. Spray applications should not be applied within 10 days of dusting. Tokuthion 960 EC is compatible with products containing demeton-s-methyl. TOKUTHION 960 EC/06/08/2013 4

5 MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Where Tokuthion 960 EC is recommended to be applied together with an oil, first emulsify the oil, and then add the Tokuthion 960 EC to this spraymix thereafter. Agitate such a spraymix continuously and thoroughly while mixing and applying. 2. Where Tokuthion 960 EC is used alone, add the required amount of Tokuthion 960 EC to the water in the spray tank and stir well. SPRAY INSTRUCTIONS: Spraying should be carried out thoroughly to ensure that the spray comes in contact with: (a) the overwintering mealybug colonies in the case of deciduous fruit trees; (b) the mealybug in the case of grapevines, guavas and citrus; Ensure that good coverage of the inside and top of citrus trees is obtained. CROP/PEST DOSAGE HIGH VOLUME APPLICATION Deciduous fruit trees: (Apples, pears, peaches, plums, apricots) Overwintering mealybug colonies m /100 water. Apples and pears (0,45-1,25 /ha in water/ha). Peaches, plums, apricots (0,36-1,0 /ha in water/ha). In cases where a light to medium infestation was experienced during the previous season, the lower rate is recommended. The higher rate is recommended where heavy fruit infestation previously occurred. Apply two sprays: (i) Any time during the dormant period, after the beginning of July, up to 3 weeks before the greentip/budswell stage of tree development. (ii) The second spray at the greentip/budswell stage of tree development. Pernicious and grey scale Table Grapes: Wine Grapes: (All cultivars) 40 ml/100 l water (0,6 1,0 l/ha in 1 500, 2 500l water/ha) ml BAC Oil SO per 100l spray mixture. 50 ml /100 l water (2-3 l /ha in water/ha). 50 ml /100 l water (2-3 /ha in l water/ha Apply two cover sprays during winter. The first application should preferably be applied before pruning of the trees, followed by a second application 4 8 weeks later. Apply Tokuthion 960 EC in a two spray programme as follows: (i) Late winter and budswell; OR (ii) Budswell and just prior to flowering; OR (iii) Immediately after harvest and budswell, OR (iv) Immediately after harvest and just prior to flowering. A: Tokuthion 960 EC can be applied as a single full cover spray: (i) Immediately after harvest; OR (ii) late winter; OR (iii) before budswell; then if necessary, further applications must be made using other suitable mealybug compounds approximately 4 5 weeks after the last Tokuthion 960 EC spray; TOKUTHION 960 EC/06/08/2013 5

6 Guavas: 50 ml /100 l water (0,75-1,25 l /ha in l water/ha). OR B: Alternative Programme: Tokuthion 960 EC can also be applied in a two spray programme as follows: (i) late winter and before budswell; (ii) Immediately after harvest and before budswell. Apply one full-cover spray during late summer once fruit have set or shortly thereafter. Ensure good coverage so as to contact mealybug colonies. Mangoes: Mango scale (Aulacaspis tubercularis) Citrus: 50 ml /100ll water Apply as a high volume cover spray in the winter just prior to flowering. Repeat application when the fruit is approximately 15 mm in diameter. Will also suppress mango weevil (Sternochaetus mangiferae). 50 ml /100 l water. Apply as a full cover spray after harvest but not later than 100 % petal fall. The application as recommended for mealybug will also control thrips, aphids and orange dog and suppress American bollworm if present at the time of application. Thrips Aphids 50 ml /100l water 40 ml /100l water NOTE: A minimum of 5,0 l spray mixture for each year of tree age up to a maximum of 30 l/tree is recommended to ensure a full cover spray. Apply as a light cover spray during the flowering period but not later than 100 % petal fall. The application as recommended for thrips will also control aphids and orange dog and suppress American bollworm if present at the time of application. If additional control measures are necessary, continue with another insecticide registered against thrips as recommended. Apply as a light cover spray when aphids are noticed after harvest but not later than 100 % petal fall. The application as recommended for aphids will also control orange dog if present at the time of application. Orange Dog 30 ml/100l water Apply as a light cover spray after harvest when small larvae are noticed but not later than 100 % petal fall. NOTE: Tokuthion 960 EC applied as a light cover spray at 50 ml/100 l water, has a suppressing effect on light infestations of American bollworm should this pest be present at the time of application.
