The once ample sized family home now feels on the small side with a kitchen nowhere near big enough to cope with their family s needs. Knowing they are living in a small space, Lucy and Joel originally wanted to expand out onto the deck, but unfortunately the builders quotes came in between $70,000 to $100,000. Unsure of whether to spend this type of money to achieve their desired result, they call in renovating expert, Cherie Barber to work within the confines of the existing property instead and work with a budget of only $25,000. Will Cherie be able to give Lucy, Joel and the kids a more desired space on this small budget?

3 KEY JOBS Cherie s renovation strategy was to create a combined open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining so that the internal structure looks and feels larger, whilst also giving this area of the house an updated, fresh and modern look.
