Fueling our growth is our newly introduced Moves Management Platform, a communication tool that is helping our Members across the USA grow organically with our Preferred Suppliers. The objective of Moves Management is to build stronger business relationships between Sphere 1 Suppliers and Members. Through Member conversations with our Management Team, Members will receive additional support, coaching, and guidance on all Sphere 1 core platforms (Organic Growth, Sphere 1 University Training, and Gateway for Growth). By reinforcing our core goals with individual Members, we will grow our group purchases and build even greater loyalty with our Preferred Suppliers. As we move forward, we will be learning more about how we can better support our Members, what construction types and trades they call on, what makes their business and market unique, who the players are within their company, and what stands in their way to converting business to Sphere 1 Preferred Suppliers. Our Management Team will communicate on a consistent and regular basis with our Members to facilitate the shifting of business from vendors who are not part of our group to our Preferred Suppliers. The overall objective is to increase Member and Preferred Supplier profitability through our Moves Management Platform! We are very excited about Moves Management and feel that greater dialogue between our Members and Preferred Suppliers will be crucial to reach our growth goals now and in the future. Rob joined the company in May 2006 as the operations manager in Greenville, SC. In 2011 he went into outside sales covering the Atlanta, GA market as well as selected accounts in upstate South Carolina. Rob returned to operations management in March Rob is a proud Marine Corps combat veteran and he and his wife, Gena, have one son, Rob Hovanec David, who will be starting at Rob s alma mater, the University of South Carolina next month. Congratulations Rob! DIAMOND On Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14, Alaska Industrial Hardware/General Hardware held their 12 th annual Salmon Tourney. This year more than 240 AIH customers and suppliers attended. The 60+ guided boats used were sponsored by AIH suppliers. Saturday evening, AIH provided an outstanding steak dinner with all the fixings for their guests. Manning the grill were AIH personnel. Everyone received a commemorative AIH Raincoat and filet knife. Sunday morning tourney day was beautiful, no rain and above normal temperatures. The fishing was decent. When the boats returned the fishermen were treated to a BBQ lunch. The great weekend event was another example of AIH/General Hardware showing support and thanks to their customer base.

4 DIAMOND Sphere 1 Member News On Saturday, September 17, DHC Supplies, Inc. participated in the annual CATT Sporting Clay Shotgun Tournament in the Reno Nevada area. DHC had two teams of five, and out of the ten shooters they had 3 prize winners. A modified scoring system was used. The shooters were broken into 3 groups, top third (best shooters), middle third (next best group), and bottom third (worst shooters). Austin Tucker won first place in the third group of shooters and won $50 cash. Adam Reynolds won second in the third group and won a prize. Kevin Poindexter won third place in the second group and won a prize. October is Employee Ownership Month. DHC Supplies celebrated by hosting their 2nd annual Sly Park ESOP camp out. More than 30 participants gathered for the 2-day event which included games and prizes for all, no one went home empty handed. Additional festivities will be held during the month at the Sparks and Santa Rosa locations. BRONZE Construction Safety Products, Inc. welcomed a new owner in late May Larry Cope sold the business to Marshall Ferrell of Shreveport, LA. As Owner and President, Mr. Ferrell looks ahead to build on the foundation of the company s 30 year history and bring new levels of success. Some of you have heard me speak at retirement events for fellow associates. I always say that I am delighted when anybody that has chosen to spend their working careers with us can have the fortune to be able to depart on their own terms and schedule. I ve said that about others and I am grateful to say that time has arrived for me as well. I plan to enter my own retirement at the conclusion of I am comforted by the fact that the Company is in great hands. The opportunity remaining before us is bright and dynamic. We have been blessed to join forces with even more great people and organizations during the last couple of years. There will be even more to come on that front. I have met and worked with many terrific people in the last 40 years, and I am proud to have carried on the traditions of family and friends who have walked the path before me. We have built a culture that attracts more great people to the many that are already here. Of all the things I carry from my time here, my personal favorite is the longevity we have in this group of friends and associates. So many of you have joined us and stayed and that is a testimonial to what we are doing here together and how we go about doing it together. Of equal importance are all the things each of you have patiently taught me throughout the last 40 years. I am so much better with you than I would ve ever been on my own. To learn more please visit 3M.com/FallProtection DIAMOND Milwaukee Tool has been approved for a 200,000 sq/ft major expansion of their Brookfield Headquarters; a joint effort between the company, the City of Brookfield, Milwaukee 7, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). The new four-story office building will be built on the campus, adjoined to the current main facility. Local leading commercial real estate firm, Wangard, has been selected as developer, and the building project has been awarded to Hunzinger Construction. A Tax Increment Financing District (TIF) has been approved by the City of Brookfield, created to provide $6 million in TIF assistance to project costs estimated at more than $35 million. The expansion project will lead to the retention of approximately 800 jobs in the current facilities and the anticipated creation of roughly additional jobs over the next 5 years. Milwaukee Tool is also in the final stages of purchasing a 3.5 acre site across Lisbon Road from the current facility for green space and future parking expansion.

The new 28,000 square foot facility enables Multiquip to shorten response times for modification and customization requests for its flagship DCA generators (7kW to 1100kW), industry leading studio generators (30kW to 285kW) and container generators (500kW to 2000kW). 8 PLATINUM Preferred Supplier News HK&W Supply Co., a multifaceted tool house in Springfield, MO was opened to the public July 1, 1969 by Forrest Hutton. Now run primarily by his son David Hutton, HK&W continues to grow its partnership with Makita and Sphere 1. It s been a great union having Makita in Sphere 1 because of their innovation and product breadth. stated David. HK&W currently has 10 employees. PLATINUM Merlin Stelzer is a major player in the concrete and tool arena in St Louis. On May 26 th they held their annual open house. Over 200 customers were treated to BBQ while meeting with vendor reps and store associates. At the Makita booth customers were able to test new tools while reps answered their questions. Miss Makita was on hand to sign posters and visit with customers. Thank you Merlin Stelzer for the great sales event. Last year Nu Way celebrated their 60 year anniversary. This year they tried something new, hosting events at their main office in St Louis MO, Wentzville, MO and Troy, IL over a 3-day period. The successful events had an overall attendance of 500 contractors. Nu Way had all the tool vendors at each location. The food was provided to St. Louis by Orlando Gardens. Wentzville and Troy IL events were catered by Kendrick's. Guests enjoyed hotdogs and hamburgers. Tents were used to accommodate the vendors and keep contractors out of the rain. 11 Preferred Supplier News Stanley Black & Decker announced that James M. Loree, became President and Chief Operating Officer effective Aug. 1. He replaces Chairman/ CEO John F. Lundgren, who turned 65 in September, and will retire as CEO after more than 12 James M. Loree John F. Lundgren years with the company. Lundgren will continue as Chairman of the Board until the end of the year and serve as special advisor through April 30, George W.
