Only XDM delivers the ultimate in everything you want from a home music and communications system both high-quality digital music and integrated, whole-house communications at an affordable price. The XDM4600 is an expandable integrated digital audio system, offering both whole house digital music and communication from six audio sources to four zones in the home. The Zone Keypads and the Door Station xtremely small have intercom functions (page all, listen all, front door) for communication throughout the home. XDM s standard 2-gang size is amazingly compact. But don t let its compactness fool you. No oversized system can match what XDM s integrated digital technology brings to your home. We upgraded every aspect of the XDM except its price. XDM is how M&S lets you deliver your voices, your music, anywhere in your home.

5 xtreme security xtreme security When the doorbell rings at an inconvenient moment, you have to decide whether or not to answer it. Knowing who s at the door makes this decision easier. XDM s crisp intercom function means the peace of mind of never having to open the door without knowing who s there. When someone rings the doorbell, the doorbell will sound throughout the home. Since voice always takes precedence over music, talking to whoever is at your door automatically mutes your music in all four zones. Four zones not enough? Add another four zones simply by adding an Expansion Hub XDM46EH and additional Keypads XDM46K.

6 xtreme music The many kinds of music all share one common trait: the ability to reach deep inside you. To reach you where you live. With XDM every member of your family can enjoy the kind of music that speaks to them. Individual room stations provide localized control from a choice of 6 different music streams so each person can listen to his or her own music. You can also direct the music you are playing into all rooms or have your music follow you from room to room. No matter how you do it, the sound quality is amazing because it s all digital music. Each zone contains a class D amplifier delivering incredible listening power at 60 watts to each room (30 watts per xtreme music channel). Each room will drive one pair of 8-ohm speakers as well as a powered subwoofer. Add a local audio source to each room with a local audio source wall plate. You can turn the entire system on or off from one station. The universal remote with LCD display allows you to control all of your audio sources simply by pointing the remote at any keypad.

9 xtreme communication xtreme communication Keeping tabs on your family is always an adventure. But now there s an easier way to monitor and communicate with them without having to chase after them through the entire house. You can also use the XDM to monitor your children in other rooms for example, to check if the baby is still sleeping. Or use XDM to tell your kids to keep the noise down or come to dinner. The XDM s page-all functions allow whole home communications. You can communicate with anyone, in any room, at anytime even at the front door. The compact keypad XDM46K uses a standard electrical two-gang back box. Your media or family room with your six audio sources should be the home of your Central Controller XDM46CC, which is wired to the keypads in the other rooms. Its simplified wire design makes it a snap to deliver 60 watts to each room (zone).
