A) The Nordic Model Build on the Nordic values: - community and collective institutions - inclusion and trust - innovation and growth - democracy and people All people have to participate, all must contribute. All people have something to share. All people are something! The 8 projects focus on community as an urban strategy. No unique architecture or urban smartness. Something for everyday life, inclusion, community and all people.

Spaces & collective institutions Double strategy: - on community (solidarity) and individuality (happiness) - urban space - arena for both community and individuality - the collective institutions the school as a tool for cultural building.

B) The welfare system Help developing the Nordic welfare system: - focus on people and community (humanism) - investing in people (trust) - addressing poor (solidarity and universality) - new urban communities (coming together) - local workplaces (work) - the power of solidarity and democracy.

C) Growth and Innovation - high economic growth and productivity - the power of social and cultural sustainability - capitalism with political leadership and democracy - knowledge production, import and sharing - globalisation - workplaces as communities and meeting places - the power of people

D) New Urban structure - tolerance and variety - connectivity and cohesion - accessibility to urban resources for everybody - multi functionality shared city - urban space as faith based institution

Sharing the city faith Going together Work together Partnership Citizenship Collective responsibility

New Nordic urban model 450 pioneering urban projects - and 8 new projects - pave the way for a new model for the Nordic society, but as an urban society: - new urban communities - new urban culture - new urban democracy.

Maybe the best urban project in the Nordic cities: a choir of tenants singing in their residential area.

THE NORDIC WAY We don t do urban planning, but if But NCN do! THANKS FOR LISTENING it would probably be the best urban planning in the world.
