This concept is based on research involving children, young adults and our own view of the current social issues facing our societies today. We are now witnessing a Europe where tolerance towards our fellow human beings are being diminished day by day. Borders are being closed and cheeks are being turned away against those who are in need. When we started this concept we had these issues in mind and we asked oursleves; what can we do with our knowledge of spatial planning to make a change in this matter? Our research with young adults indicated that the subjects were eager to appropriate certain places while avoiding others due to social factors. If people redesign their mental images of places we believe it`s possible to build a more tolerant, included and accessible society. If people redesign their mental images of places we believe it`s possible to build a more tolerant, included and accessible society.
