Speech Title: Design and Synthesis of Nanomaterials Composite for the Enviromental Electrochemical Sensors and Energy Storage Applications Abstract: Growing the aspects in materials science, there are enormous synthesis route has identified to produce materials, particularly by simple methodology. The synthesis of nanostructured materials has incessantly received a significant scientific interest due to their unique physical and chemical properties. In this aspect, we have synthesized different nanomaterials and used for the electrochemical sensors, biosensors and energy storage devices. For occasion, a novel copper hexacyanocobaltate based sensor was developed and its electrocatalytic behavior was demonstrated towards the oxidation of dopamine. The gold nanoparticles decorated graphene
13 oxide/polydopamine composite was prepared for the sensitive and low potential detection of catechol. The electrochemically deposited bismuth nanoribbons on reduced graphene oxide were studied for the enzymatic glucose biosensor. The influence of poly (n-vinylcarbazole) was studied for the photoanode component in dye-sensitized solar cell which exhibiting an enhanced high performance to the solar cell applications. A honeycomb-like porous carbon cobalt oxide nanocomposite was prepared and studied towards the high-performance glucose sensor and supercapacitor applications. The CoWO4 nanospheres was prepared by low temperature chemical synthesis method and characterized towards the sensitive detection of glucose. Electrochemical synthesis of Au MnO2 on electrophoretically prepared graphene nanocomposite was demonstrated for the high performance supercapacitor and biosensor applications. All the aforesaid composites were prepared by different physiochemical methods and electrochemical methods. The aforementioned nanomaterials were furnished a good electrocatalytic activity with appreciable stability towards the chemical sensors, biosensors, solar cells and super capacitors when compare with the previously reported sensors and devices. The analytical parameters such as linear response range, sensitivity, limit of detection and reproducibility of the devices also been carried out and compared with the current state of the art.

16 Abstract: Thermal stabile and chemical resistant silicon carbide (SiC) fibrous mats have drawn much attention as a high-temperature thermal insulator in top end equipment and technology. Herein, novel free-standing, flexible, acid/alkali-resistant and nitrogen doped (N-doped) hollow SiC fibrous mats bearing ultralow thermal conductivity are reported. The materials were fabricated via three-step process: the preparation of core-shell fibers from polymeric precursors by co-axial eletrospinning; the thermal or electron beam irradiation curing process and pyrolysis process. The as-obtained continuous fibers manifested an oval-shape hollow structure and the thickness of cavity wall was approximately 1.5 μ m. The crystal pattern was obtained after pyrolyzed over 1300 under nitrogen atmosphere. These facile fabricated N-doped hollow SiC fibrous mats possess good flexibility, noninflammability, high thermal stability, erosion resistant, light weight (0.218 g/cm3) and low thermal conductivity at high temperature (0.039 W m-1 K-1), suggesting promising application as high temperature thermal insulator.

In this presentation, the development and applications of superplasticizer will be review briefly. Furthermore, an amphoteric copolymer was prepared. This polymer was added in cement pastes, mortars, and concrete. The properties of cementitious materials including flowability, compressive strength, and others were measured, and the performance of the prepared polymer as a chemical admixture was evaluated and discussed.

Speech Title: Hydrodynamic investigation of a multiple-box system with narrow gaps Abstract: To use the ocean space effectively, the floating structures comprised of several modules such as floating breakwaters, offshore airports and Pelamis wave energy etc., have been popularly used in the ocean engineering. Due to resonance, extreme large-amplitude wave oscillations and wave loads may take place in the narrow gaps among floating structures under certain wave frequencies, and this will have a big impact on the safety. In the present study, a fully nonlinear numerical model, based on potential flow theory and technique of inner-source generating waves, was developed to investigate the effects of the number of gaps on the resonant characteristics and the hydrodynamic difference between marine structures with and
19 without narrow gaps. The results show that, both the first-mode-resonant wave height and resonant frequency decrease with the increase of number of the boxes, while the second-mode-resonant wave height increases. The wave height on the weather side of a multiple-box system at resonance is smaller than that of a single-monolithic-box system, and it decreases as the number of gaps increases.
