5 Studio5 Green Mubazzarah Upgrading Winner of International Competition for the Urban upgrading For Green Mubazzarah, Al Ain City CLIENT : In association with: Jabal Hafeet, Green Mubazzarah, Al Ain City SCOPE OF WORK: The Green Mubazzarah is often referred to as the Green Heart of AI Ain. Nestling within several elements surrounding such as hot springs, Al-Ain oasis and Hafeet mountain. Our Plan seeks to use the rich cultural heritage, historic, and natural features to create a framework for upgrading this important area with the end result being a new relaxation, celebratory, enjoyment and gathering center for AI Ain, Abu Dhabi and the Emirates. 6 Studio5 G r e e n M u b a z z a r a h U p g r a d i n g Telefric & Ceremonies Plaza This Landscape and Public Realm design serves as a hybrid application combining detailed and outlines elements and is accompanied by a Parameters Plan that set out the key design principles and a framework for the development of detailed design. It is expected that the proposed development will be phased over a number of years with different developers bringing forward proposals.

7 Studio5 Green Mubazzarah Upgrading Green Mubazzarah Upgrade - Master Plan The Master Plan includes specific components that can be used to assess, evaluate and construct the public realm and the landscape through a range of typologies, specifications according to the need of different areas and users in the Green Mubazzarah, along with a Public Realm Framework Plan and ublic Realm Hierarchy.

Incentive prize of the International Competition for Urban Replanning and Architecture design of Maspero Triangle CLIENT : Informal Settlement Development Facility, Egyptian Cabinet. In association with: Existing Khedivy Fabric of Maspero Triangle Existing life conditions of Maspero inhabitants SCOPE OF WORK: Maspero triangle stands on (82) feddans of land in downtown Cairo; overlooking the Nile corniche and Abdel-Monem Riyad & Tahrir Squares. It is home to more than 14,000 residents. The goal of this design competition is to inspire a design that will be an exemplary mixed-use urban community, preserves heritage, protects the environment and does not lead to loss of local residents diversity due to gentrification.

9 Studio5 Maspero Triangle Comp. Snapshot for urban development of Maspero Cornish. The proposed design at the urban scale takes into consideration the current socioeconomic patterns for the inhabitants and proposes a model which is enhancing the current one. The proposal is sustainable in this dimension since preventing gentrification and dramatic changes in the social tissue was considered a life or death dispute for any design decision that we ve adopted.

Efficient Road and Pedestrian Path Network One of the Key points of success for urban projects is the efficient road network that connects the site with its urroundings. The general master plan had set properly the main network system taking into account the capacity of the network on the land use plan. In view of this, the urban design approach was first to understand the general master plan approach in road network planning.

Winner of the International Competition for the Urban Design and Harmony and Historic Conservation of Opera and Ataba Squares, Cairo, Egypt The concept of the remarkable multilevel solution Corridors, nodes & landmark determination CLIENT : Ministry of Culture National Organization for Urban Harmony. SCOPE OF WORK: Structure Plan and Master Planning, Site Scape conducted urban studies for the impact zone to determine planning influences on the site, taking into consideration that it is a part of Cairo CBD; located between two listed heritage areas; historic Fatimid Cairo to the East, and Khedivial Cairo to the West, a meeting point for major traffic routes. Studio-5 provided a proposal for land uses and activities for new and traffic proposal with Inclusive urban design for Opera and Ataba squares and Azbakiyya Garden and special attention should be given to major landmarks.

Alleviation of the urban problems and solving traffic problems and minimizing through traffic was precisely addressed in addition to address the provision for adequate underground parking spaces and demolishing the current multistory opera garage. The concept highlights the provision of green spaces as well as pedestrian plazas and solving problems of the inadequate degrading uses such as street vendors.

The competition aims to restore the cultural\heritage values of the historic Opera site and Azbakiyya Garden and recalling the distinguished cultural symbolization of the competition area, once conveyed by the demolished Khedivial Opera House.

14 Studio5 Kheran Structure & Master plan Structure Plan and Master planning for Kheran New City, Kuwait Master Plan for Al-Khiran city CLIENT : First Investment Company Kuwait (FIC) SCOPE OF WORK: Structure Plan and Master Planning. Lead and supervise multiple technical teams to develop comprehensive Kheran New City Master Plan, which is located in the southern part of Kuwait State and considered as the core city for the southern region. The city is more than 140 million m2 with 600 thousand inhabitants. Prepare the strategic development plan for the city with all pre/ post analysis needed. Lead and support multiple technical teams for providing a comprehensive Master plan for housing districts, compounds, industrial areas and the city center.

16 Studio5 Giza Master Plan Giza Master Plan development, Greater Cairo, Egypt CLIENT : Helwan University Master Plan for region development SCOPE OF WORK: Regional plan for Greater Cairo region offering one of alternatives to solve haphazard problems on the limits of this region specially on agriculture lands. The concept was focusing on limiting & packing all these attacks with putting strong uses close the ability to continue building and make it useless and that s all after studying the main reasons which pushing towards that.

17 Studio5 Shubra Al Khima Master Plan Shubra Al Khima Master Plan development, Qalyoubeia, Egypt CLIENT : Helwan University Development plan for Shubra Al Khima region SCOPE OF WORK: We were assigned as task manger responsible for explore the natural, social and economic potential in the easter part of Cairo (Shubra Al Khima) that suffers of srevices & urban sprawl on farmland. Studying all urban sides with social & economic situations for this area made us produce SWAT analysis deliver for development plan with changing the main nodes of uses according to direction of population growth.

19 Studio5 Hurghada Hills Integrated Mixed-use Resort Development, Real Estate and Retails design Hurghada Hills,Red Sea, Egypt Zoning Landuse management plan for the integrated development area CLIENT : Falcon for tourism SCOPE OF WORK: Schematic, Design development and planning Consultations for integrated development and comprehensive plan for m2 of mixed use mega resort with real estate, retails, adventure activities, amusement park and tourism facilities. Challenging project mixes new development areas with exceptional and unique existing hotel in an extremely rough topographical condition. PROJECT LOCATION: The project site is located in the northeastern part of Egypt s Red Sea. It is situated about 450 km south of Cairo and 50 km south of Hurghada along the main traffic road Hurghada Sahl Hashish.

22 Studio5 Coastal Zone Management Coastal Zone Management Plan Mediterranean CLIENT : The Tourism Development Authority Ras Al Hekma tourism development plan - Noarth Coast Detailed Parcelling plan for the tourism center SCOPE OF WORK: Formulating a strategy for creating alternative forms of tourism development in the Mediterranean. Participated in developing national guidelines for Best Practices (BPs) for tourism development planning, design, and management. As part of a major drive to establish tourism as a key, job-creating and sustainable development sector within the touristic regions, the Tourism Development Authority prepare a Tourism Development Strategy and Coastal Zone Management Plan for the north coast region.
