A two year warranty for workmanship and defect shall be provided on all work and components supplied to the project. The two year warranty period shall begin at the date of Acceptance for the whole project or defined parts of the project as determined by the Consultant and agreed by the Owner.. A standard one year warranty for plant material supplied to the project shall be included. Plants replaced or repaired under warranty shall be subject to a new one year warranty period beginning at the time of replacement.

All work shall meet or exceed the requirements as outlined in the Current Edition of the B.C. Landscape Standard.. Make good all areas that are damaged by the construction work with equivalent landscape. 3. All plant material to be retained following construction is to be protected during construction or removed, stored and reinstalled following the completion of the work. 4. Dispose of all other plant material that cannot be immediately relocated or reused in the final design. 5. All plant layout and species to be reviewed on site with Landscape Architect and finalized before plant removal or replanting. 6. Protect existing buildings, equipment, sidewalks, landscape reference points, monuments, markers and other completed work. Make good any damage resulting from work of this Contract at no expense to the Owner. 7. Plant sizes and related container classes are specified according to the Landscape Standard. For container classes #3 and smaller, plant sizes shall be as shown in the plant list and the Standard; for all other plants, both plant size and container class shall be as shown in the plant list. Specifically, when the plant list call for #5 class containers, these shall be as defined in the Landscape Standard. 8. Provide at least 48 hrs notice for all plants and trees to be reviewed by landscape consultant at nursery prior to delivery to site, as per landscape specification. 9. Obtain Consultant review and acceptance of growing medium samples and test results prior to delivery to site as per landscape specifications. None are growing towards the proposed construction. 3. The loss of fibrous root system is minimal. The tree should be able to tolerate this loss. 4. It is likely that no significant structural roots will be impacted by the proposed construction. 5. Despite the above observations and conclusions, any excavation for the new curb and pavement shall be done by hand with the arborist on site. If root pruning is required, all work shall be done by a certified arborist immediately after excavation. 6. The new curb shall be installed with minimal depth to minimize potential impact to the existing root system. 7. The new standard concrete pavement shall be installed on top of the existing base. Where no base is existing, the pavement shall be installed on minimal base material. 8. The permeable concrete pavement pavement shall be installed on top of a choker or reservoir gravel to replace the existing base material and on a choker gravel and structural soil where replacing soil. 9. Concrete may be reinforced in areas to allow for sufficient strength. 8. Soft landscape area shall be protected through a tree protection barrier prior to any work on site.
