The design documentation (drawing) were also revised to reflect actions taken in the responses as following: 16. ComCheck: Indicate ComCheck compliance for existing units being reused. Existing furnace units are not relocated and are not in contract (not touched) 17. Sheet P-1 Show hot and cold water piping. The is a personal preference only and not required. Isometric drawing indicates work to be accomplished. Adding piping to P-1 only clutters the plumbing plan. 18. Sheet P-2 Specify for ASSE 1070 thermostatic mixing valves be provided at every tempered faucet / fixture ADA and non-ada as required by the 2003 IPC. CONCUR, REVISED PLUMBING SCHEDULE TO USE WATTS FAUCET Specify supply and waste trap ADA insulation wrap and off-set grid strainer for knee space clearance. CONCUR, REVISED PLUMBING SCHEDULE TO USE TRAP WRAP WITH OFF SET TRAP. Show and size water hammer arrestors on the cold and hot water riser diagram. Concur, added to P-2 Domestic Water Riser. 3" vent at floor cleanout is a non-compliant location for vents. Vents must be located downstream of the fixture so that use of fixture washes out bottom of vent as required by the 2003 IPC. CONCUR REVISED SOIL, WASTE AND VENT RISER TO SHOW. If hood does not have a supply plenum at the face of the hood, provide conditioned supply fan / unit to make up hood exhaust. Make up air must be within IO O F of room set point per 2003 IMC. CONCUR, VENTILATION AIR THRU HVAC UNIT AND INFILTRATION PROVIDES MAKEUP AIR FOR HOOD. NO CHANGE REQUIRED Existing furnaces do not show flue vent terminations. OVERCOME BY EVENTS. IEBC Sect Means of Egress lighting required to comply with IBC Note Sect requires this throughout entire floor. RESPONSE: Concur. We will ensure existing lights complies with IBC 2003, section We will supplement with new emergency where existing emergency lights are not in compliance. 8. IEBC Sect Exit signs to comply with IBC Note Sect requires this throughout entire floor. RESPONSE: Concur. Existing exit lights comply with IBC 2003, section Verify no fire alarm required by occupancy load and occupancy type. I 0. Sheet E-1 Specifications 1.4 refers to "latest published NEC" and E-3 Nond welling load calculations refer to 2011 N EC. Madison County has adopted 2002 version of N EC. Also building codes in Specification s section 1.4 should be 2003 version. RESPONSE: Concur. Will ensure calculation complies with 2003 NEC and will modify calculation table to reference the correct version of the NEC Sheet E-2: Location of existing 400A panel not shown. RESPONSE: Concur. Will show the 400A panel on the power plan. 12. Sheet E-2 :No room names. RESPONSE: Non-concur. Sheet E-2 provides room names for all rooms that are part of this renovation.

7 Page 2 May 10, Sheet E-2: Verify kitchen hood does not require automatic shutdown. RESPONSE: Concur. Will provide a shunt trip breaker on the branch circuit feeding the range and will require the shunt trip to operate upon activation of Anusl extinguishing system. 14. Sheet E-3: Light fixture "P" remarks indicate to provide with 0-1OV dimming (Osram 0-10 volt dimming ballast OZI O selected) but legend on sheet E-1 shows $30 switch to be 120 volt dimmer switch. RESPONSE: Concur. Will modify description in legend for Dimming switch to indicate dimmer shall operate on 0-10V. 15. Sheet E-3: Existing emergency lighting locations denoted with hex note "2" do not appear to comply with 2003 IBC I requirements of one footcandle average and 0. 1 footcandle minimum at any point. RESPONSE: We will ensure existing lights complies with IBC 2003, section We will supplement with new emergency where existing emergency lights are not in compliance.
