3 Central Control Module The CarePlus CCM is a ward based alarm management, messaging and paging module. CCMs are networked together over Ethernet to provide a powerful and scalable healthcare solution. Staff stations connect to the CCM via a web browser, these staff stations support multiple languages. 4 Nursecall Interface Module The NIM Interfaces the callpoints and overdoor lights with the CarePlus Central Control Module (CCM). 5 MAVIS The MAVIS (Master Audio Visual Interface System) generates customised tones and alerts for Nurse call and other alarm events. The device allows the connection of multiple speakers to enable the tones to be heard in multiple locations in the facility. 6 Dry Area Call Point The Dry Area Call Point is a Flush Wall Mount unit, with optional Pendant socket. Call activation is by pressing the Call button, or from the optional plug in Call Pendant. Upon placing a call, the patient receives visual confirmation via a reassurance LED. Call Points are available in a number of standard colors and labels for use as various levels or alarm. The Pendant socket also incorporates a pendant removal alarm, which activates a call when the pendant is removed. 8 Pull Cord Point The pull cord call point is a ceiling or wall mounted unit with a 2.5 metre mould resistant cord used in wet areas of a health care facility. A call is made by pulling the cord and generally cancelled by means of a wall mounted call/cancel call point mounted in the bathroom. A call is confirmed by the large bright reassurance light. The cord can be adjusted in length depending on whether it is ceiling or wall mounted. 14 Whiteboard Module and Nurse Station The Whiteboard Module provides an interface in text and graphical format for all active alarms within the system. The interface is provided through a web browser and can be used on a PC with a dedicated wide screen monitor. The Whiteboard Module is a separately licensed option. You will need a new license key to activate the Whiteboard Module. The Whiteboard can be configured for Text or Graphic display modes. The text style used on the display can be configured. The Whiteboard will display a standby image and system time when there are no active alarms. (Default is CarePlus Logo. Can use custom image if desired) In text mode: The alarms are ordered by priority. The assignment column refers to the staff member currently assigned to the alarm based on the staff allocation schedule. The status column refers to the status of the message generated to staff members based on the staff allocation schedule. In graphic mode: Up to 24 rooms can be displayed on the whiteboard. Alarms are displayed based on location and each room container is color coded according to the highest priority alarm. The color comes from the Sign Color configuration for the Priority. Page 14
