1 The 2nd International Symposium of Entomological Science COE Innovative Food and Environmental Studies Pioneered by Entomomimetic Sciences We will be holding an international symposium entitled " Innovative Food and Environmental Studies Pioneered by Entomomimetic Sciences " as part of the 21st COE (Center of Excellence) program, Kyoto University on October 31- November 2, 2005.This symposium consist of three topics " Offense-defense interaction in insect-plant system " " Impacts of environmental change on insects " and " Entomomimetic engineering ". We hope that this symposium will both encourage international cooperation in these fields and stimulate workers in Japan.
