Also, please do not adjust the thermostats in the hallway or the heaters in the elevator lobbies. They are set by maintenance and should be left alone. BAY GULL CLUB; A big Thank you to John and Susan Swirbalus for hosting the February bay gull club. The turn-out was fantastic. What a nice way to start the weekend, free coffee & breakfast treats. The March bay gull club will be held on March 3 rd from 9AM-11AM in the West hospitality suite. If you are interested in hosting the Bay Gull Club, please contact John Swirbalus at It would be great to get new hosts each month and keep the club going! All you need to provide is coffee and breakfast treats which you will be fully reimbursed for through the office. Please consider hosting in the next few months! HIGH EFFICIENCY DETERGENT; Please remember to only use high efficiency laundry and dish detergents. The HE detergent produces less suds which, in turn, help prevent clogging and leaking. All detergents that are high efficiency have the symbol shown on the left.

3 DELIVERIES; If you purchase an item or items that have to be delivere If you purchase an item or items that have to be delivered using the freight elevator, you must make arrangements with the management office. These types of deliveries can be made Monday to Saturday between the hours of 8A.M. and 5 P.M. You cannot have any deliveries made on Sundays or Federal Holidays. You cannot have anything delivered on the day a move is being done in your building. The freight elevator is locked for the move and is not available. Sorry, No Exceptions. RENTING YOUR UNIT; Per the Master Deed Section 7.4: If you rent out your unit you must give the office a copy of your tenant s up-to-date lease. These are kept on file in the office per the Marina Point Condominium Master Deed. Per the Master Deed Section 7.4:All leases must be for a minimum of one year and are subjected to the Trustees approval. Unit Owner s shall maintain electric service in their Unit s in their own name. HALLWAYS AND STAIRCASES; Please keep all hallways and staircases free of personal items. All of your personal items should be and need to be stored in your unit or storage area. If you need additional storage space, please contact the office at or via - janetmarinapoint@comcast.net. The Marina does have storage bins available for rent at $75.00 a month. They are scattered throughout both the East and West Garages.

4 HEAT PUMPS; If you are having any issues with the heat in your unit, maintenance has suggested trying the following before placing a work order: 1. Change the batteries in the thermostat. 2. Check your filter status in your heat pump, making sure it is not dirty or clogged. 3. Shut off your thermostat for a full 5 minutes. Once 5 minutes has passed turn the thermostat back on. This will reset your heat. If none of these do-it- yourself options solve the problem, maintenance unfortunately does not have the ability to fix heat pumps. Of course, you can still place a work order and have maintenance take a look to be sure it is not something else but they can not fix them. IF YOU LOSE IT or NEED IT; Every once in a while you may need a unit key, new garage remote, water shut off or a new mailbox key. Below are the costs. The cost can be added to your monthly condo charge or you can pay in the office (sorry, no credit cards). 5 FOUNTAIN LIGHTS; You will notice the lights in both fountains have been shut off. They will be turned back on once the fountains are filled with water and running again. Thank you for understanding. TRASH CHUTE; There was a garbage can put in the trash chute which causes a major trash chute jam in the East building. Maintenance spent hours trying to unclog the jam which is very avoidable. PLEASE, only small bags of trash should be put in the chute. All other trash should be brought to the dumpster in the garage. Glass, wire hangers and boxes should not be thrown in the chute at any time.

6 The month of February was chosen because it coincided with the birthdays of two people who were pivotal to abolitionism: Abraham Lincoln, who was born on February 12, and Frederick Douglass, who was born on February 14 th. February held other events of historical value, such as the birth of civil rights leader W.E. B. DuBois (February 23rd) and the passing of the 15th Amendment, which gave African Americans the right to vote(february 3, 1870).
