The area behind the intended location must be clear of obstacles such as cables, pipes and joists. Use a pencil and trace around the template (enclosed in the package) Using an appropriate cutting device, cut along the line and remove excess material from the ceiling. 2 Connect plugs to pre-installed power outlets. 3 Push 4 locking tabs on opposite sides of the appliance inwards and make sure they are not obstructing when inserting the appliance through the opening. 4 Hold the appliance firm against the ceiling and push 4 locking tabs outwards. 5 Insert screws through screw holes (if not already in) and tighten screws. As screws are tightened, the ceiling sandwiches between the rim of the appliance housing and locking tabs. Install the grille making sure it is latched Changing Lamp Install the lamp. Install the diffuser making sure it is latched. Turn off the mains supply and wait few minutes for the appliance to cool down. Gently remove the diffuser latched on two opposing sides using both hands.
