6 Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV) Units Provide constant low level ventilation through a centralised appliance, by extracting waste air from a dwelling and helping to prevent condensation and mould from developing. Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) Units Incorporates supply and extract ventilation in one system. Warm, waste air is extracted from wet rooms via ducting through a highly efficient heat exchanger before being exhausted to the outside. Fresh incoming air is preheated via the exchanger and ducted into habitable rooms. MVHR is particularly effective in air tight properties where a build-up of condensation, mould and stale air can negatively impact the health of occupants.
