4 1.0 FORWARD The scope of this report is to describe the electrical system found in the PAGANO structures, as well as to provide the client with all the technical-practical descriptions related to the domotic electrical system introduced in the new home that will be erected in a residential area in the city of Moscow (Russia). 1.1 DESCRIPTION The new build will be carried-out partly in concrete (basement) and partly in timber and glass (supplied by PAGANO). The new structure will be erected upon three levels: Two floors in concrete (the basements) upon which the timber house will rest; and upon which various rooms will be located such as a Spa with swimming pool, Turkish bath, sauna, bedroom, billiard room, bathrooms, kitchen and the technical rooms for the installation systems. The ground floor will host the living room, the dining room and two bedrooms with connected walk-in wardrobes and bathrooms, as well as the kitchen The first floor is made-up of three bedrooms with on suite bathrooms, a common area which will open onto the ground floor via a staircase and a balcony. The net surface area (both internal and external) is approximately 940m 2. In order to demonstrate how the project design meets the scope of the building requested (the quality and expected benefits), all the criteria used for the various choices made for the build are hereby described. The works for the installations to be made refer to the timber structure distributed on two levels: Ground floor 380m 2 First floor 175m2

5 The net surface area of the PAGANO construction is 555m INSTALLATIONS SUPPLIED Integral to this project are: the electrical installations, fuse boards and low voltage power supply; the special installations i.e. TV and SAT antenna, telephone, data transmission; the home automation system 3.0 DESCRIPTION OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The electrical installation is included in the timber frame of the PAGANO construction. Conduits are passed through the centre of coupled twin horizontal beams (Figure 1) and in some of the pillars that host the various electricity wires. The electrical system runs through each individual wall (Figure 2), which is fitted with the various end purposes such as switches, sockets, controls, patrisse boxes (Figure 3). These boxes receive the supply via the main lines correctly measured depending on the type of the electricity charge needed. All the electrical wires are then connected during the mounting of the various walls (Figure 4) ensuring the complete wiring of the home. Some of the junction boxes contain actuators (Figure 5) that manage the switching on and off of the lights. The positioning of these actuators is shown in the relative report. The electrical installation of the PAGANO construction is perfectly studied and keeps in mind the architectural design undertaken for the various areas (Figure 6), which are supplied with the respective number of lights and sockets.

7 All the components of the electrical system are defined and numbered in the project documents (Figure 7) which are handed-over to the client. This allows the client to call-in any specialized technician to resolve any issue that may arise. One brand is used for all the component-types of the installation (Bticino: This facilitates the management of the system. Figure 7 (Table E )

4.0 GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE AUTOMATION SYSTEM (reports: E03-001; E03-002; E03-017) Thanks to the Bus communication cable and the particular programming of the various components, the Automation

8 4.0 GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE AUTOMATION SYSTEM (reports: E03-001; E03-002; E03-017) Thanks to the Bus communication cable and the particular programming of the various components, the Automation System included in the PAGANO construction is able to simultaneously control and manage one or more end-use of the home (e.g. window blinds and lights) from any part of the building. The digital commands are able to pick-up the opening or closure of any switch through the presence of a blue or red LED lighting in the switches. This is very useful to help note the state of the power (on or off) where several commands exist and to facilitate the identification of the devices during the night (Figure 8). Figure 8

9 This system can be easily increased at later stages to accommodate new functions or new needs of the owner of the house. The system is made-up of different types of command and implementation devices. The command devices substitute the traditional systems such as the ordinary switches, inverters and buttons, but can also carryout more complex functions such as managing the light moods and temperature. The implementation devices control the power load provided (lighting) following the relative command signal given. All the devices are connected in parallel with each other through a BUS cable with two conductors for the transportation of the information and the low voltage electrical supply (27 Vdc). These can be installed in normal fitted boxes which are aesthetically coherent with the rest of the installation. 5.0 FUSE BOARD (reports: E04-001, E02-001) In addition to the protection mechanism of the circuits, the fuse board also centralizes all the devices for the distribution of TV and telephone signals. The cables and wires for the entire PAGANO home, leave the board through a star-shape ramification point (Figure 9). The fuse board is located within one of the partitions of the PAGANO structure and is perfectly integrated in the building (Figure 10).

12 The entire system has been designed for one fuse board, which is situated in the STORAGE space on the ground floor. The principle cables from the first floor are connected to this via cavity walls present in the wine cellar (Figure 12). The characteristics of the fuse board CSD PT design are: Type: LDX 800 BTicino dimensions: 1370x2150x230 protection capacity: IP43 The electricity supply to the CSD PT and QC (general board) boards is provided by the client, who will sign a contract with the electricity provider based on the indications given by the PAGANO project and the company that will build the foundations of the building (Figures 13 and 14). 15 6.0 TELEFPHONE NETWORK AND DATA FOR STRUCTURAL WIRING (reports: E02-002; E03-007; E03-008) 6.1 Introduction The following appliances are foreseen: Connection of multipair cable UTP Cat 6 data; Connection of multipair cable UTP Cat 5E telephone; Horizontal connection sockets; Telephone socket, RJ45 Cat 5E; Socket for data RJ45 Cat 6. The modular connector with 8 RJ 45 contacts category 6 for the data and 5E for telephone is foreseen for the termination of the connections with UTP cable category 5E and 6 with four pairs.

16 The wiring system is made-up of the following elements: Switch F551: the centralized star for data, towards which the copper distribution coming from the individual sockets Ian data; Distribution frame for telephone F555: the centralized star for the telephone system, towards which all the copper distribution coming from the individual sockets, will have to converge; TO (Terminal Outlet): is the terminal element directly connected to the station user. The switches and distribution frames are connected in the automated central star CSD PT. A provision standard is provided for the wiring for each area as per the project design: box 504 single configuration made-up of one 8 pin (RJ45) modular socket data (white) and one 8 pin (RJ45) modular socket voice system (black)

The installation of a structured UTP category 6 wiring system for data (Figures 15 and 16) and 5E voice system (Figures 17 and 18) will be made (for sockets and terminal points). To which the telephone and the data transmission mechanism will be connected. The client will be responsible for the supply of the telephone switchboard (Figures 15 and 17) in agreement with the telephone company. 22 The structured wiring system is integrated with the voice data system. It is characterized by an open architecture as per the ISO/OSI standards, and is able host the relevant applications for the transmission of data, voice and images. The wiring structure allows for future changes, reconfigurations and extension of the network. If the client wishes to have a wireless system, he/she will have to call in their technician. 23 7.0 SATALITE AND TERRESTRIAL TV RECEPTION PLANT 7.1 Forward Television channels are received through terrestrial and satellite antennas which are connected to a specific installation found within the PAGANO building (Figure. 21). The client is responsible for the connection of the multiswitch TV-SAT in the fuse board to the terrestrial antennas (see Figures 22, 23 and 24). 27 7.2 Technical data I. Terrestrial and satellite TV antenna system: The antenna will have to be installed at the level of the roof or in an area to be defined by the client. Its positioning will have to be agreed with the same whilst water-tightening the structure. Alternatively the antenna can be located on the ground and be connected through the electrical installation to the fuse board so to avoid a negative aesthetical impact to the structure. The supply will have to be provided via a protected electric line. II. Vertical distribution: The vertical lines (cables) are located in flexible pipes and run along the cavity areas running along the height of the home. III. Horizontal distribution: Signals that will serve the users will start from the multiswitch. Terminal sockets are foreseen for every supply as reported in the project. The antenna cable will have the dimensions and be placed in such a way to consent it to reach all the potential connection points for its terminal use.

28 8.0 FAN COIL SUMMER/WINNTER SWITCH The fan coil installed on the ground floor of the PAGANO home have a winter and a summer function i.e. they are used to heat and cool the various environments. In order to allow the change of functionality, the grid will have to be lifted and the switch (found in the tinplate box) turned to winter or summer mode accordingly. 9.0 ESTIMATION OF THE ELECTRICITY NEED The electrical system of the PAGNO structure requires CSD PT 26 KW. Such power only includes the installations internal to the PAGANO building. This means that the electricity for the concrete basement, the external lighting and other general installation are excluded.

29 10.0 STUDY FOR THE PAGANO STRUCTURE S TECHNICAL LIGHTING 10.1 RECOMMENDED LIGHTING The lighting are excluded from the building supply and can vary on the bases of the aesthetical requirements of the client. These can be finalized on the basis of the furniture (see Figures 26, 27, 28 and 29). The client will be provided with recommendations and suggestions so that the selected lighting can better suit the required functions and wishes of the client, and that can ultimately provide high quality standards. The lighting can be divided in two categories: fixed that are installed within the PAGANO structure; mobile such as stand alone lampshades Figure 26

45 12.0 INTRODUCTION OF THE HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEMS (reports E02-004; E03-003; E03-004) The PAGANO structures use domotic or home automation technology in order to integrate the various electrical devices and provide a higher comfort to the end user. All the devices of the system use the same technology of the installation based on the digital Bus technique, which allows the generation of synergies between the various devices as per the choices made by the client. The touchscreen (Figure 42) is made-up of a simple and intuitive 3.5-inch display as it has clear icons to follow. The touchscreen allows to control all the domotic functions throughout the home. Three touchscreen devices are included: 2 on the ground floor (living room and the master bedroom) and one on the 1st floor (gallery). These allow to turn off and on the entire lighting system of the home, choose the light mood and control the window blinds. Fig. 42
