3 Digital Communication System The Digital Communications System At the heart of the Digital Communications System is the DCP. This platform allows for two-way data communication and provides the foundations for a wealth of possibilities. It includes a GSM gateway, emergency telephone and M2M gateway in a single unit and complies with EN81-28 and EN81-70 standards. Using data to improve efficiency is not a new concept and the Digital Communications System brings this to lifts, without the cost and hassle of installing a new controller. With remote configuration and monitoring the DCP allows customers to have real time information regarding lift status for the purposes of predictive maintenance and to inform decision making.* The products within the Digital Communications System are easy to install as we understand the need for minimising installation and programming time. There are also options for both on site and remote programming. The Avire Hub is a cloud based platform and allows for monitoring and configuration from any internet connected device. The Avire Hub's intuitive user experience takes the hassle out of monitoring devices and staying compliant to industry standards with actions such as 3 day test calls and technical alerts. TURN COMPLEXITY INTO SIMPLICITY Cellular Data Our Digital Communication Platform (DCP) transmits data over the cellular network s data channels (2G/GPS and 3G), unlike older systems which use the voice channel. Utilising the data channel means that information can be transferred faster and more reliably. In addition call costs are lowered because the voice channel is only used for two way voice communication. CAN Bus All of the digital audio modules within the system connect to the DCP by a 4 wire CAN Bus. This allows for quick & easy installation and addressing of the modules, as well as the option to add in additional sensors and CAN enabled devices. Lift Telemetry Using either a serial connection (RS232/ RS422/RS485) to the lift controller, or connected sensors, lift and controller status can be monitored remotely using either lift controller manufacturers software or the Avire Hub. 7 PSTN Emergency Telephones The Memco range of PTSN Emergency telephones is long standing and has been developed and tailored to fit the lift industry's needs over ten years. Providing both EN81-28 and EN81-70 compliance, our product ranges include both Top Of Car (TOC) and Car Operating Panel (COP) mounting options along with all the necessary accessories such as speakers, inductive loops and our wiring looms; a key accessory for working with many OEM lifts to save time and hassle. We understand the need for minimising installation and programming time; therefore our solutions are easy to install and have a variety of programming options for both on site and remote programming. Memcom includes an inbuilt LCD and keypad, together with a simple tick & cross programming menu. This provides engineers with an easy-to-use interface; allowing any errors to be quickly and easily identified and resolved. All Memco emergency telephones can be programmed remotely using a touchtone telephone or the Avire Hub. The Memco range also comes with P100 protocol. The Memco range also comes with P100 protocol and GSM options. 10 PSTN Telephones Gateways EN81-28 Monitoring Avire s emergency telephones are easy to fit and program and provide reliable alarm points for trapped passengers and service engineers. They perform periodic self-checks and will place calls to report technical faults and lift usage. Avire gateways can be used in place of landlines and provide a reliable connection to the outside world. Installation and monthly costs of landlines can be expensive to route to the top of a lift shaft, expensive to maintain compared to a monthly SIM contract, and are often replaced by digital systems in new buildings. Furthermore, GSM gateways have greater levels of redundancy than fixed landlines, as they are able to switch to a new mobile tower in the event that signal from one goes down. All Avire products are designed with absolute customer safety in mind. All Memco light curtains are manufactured at our ISO accredited factory in the EU. This feature, offering enhanced safety, is ideal for high traffic installations such as hotels, hospitals and airports. The patented red and green indicators on the Panachrome have been proven to reduce damage to installations and to enhance passenger safety. The diagnostic output acts as a second relay and activates whenever a diode goes into timeout mode.
