4 About SafeLine SL6 Internal bus system Through the usage of an internal bus system for communication between the main unit and voice stations, flexibility is maximized and cabling is kept to a minimum. Only 2 wires plus supply voltage is needed for each voice station. No additional interface board is required for connecting up to 6 voice stations in car, on car roof, in car pit, machine room or on the floors. The voice units are available in 18 different models for easy adaptation to most situations and needs. High redundancy SafeLine SL6-GSM makes it possible to make use of both PSTN and GSM interfaces at the same time and allow them to work together. This built-in fallback function enables an automatic switch to GSM in case of landline outage, or vice versa all to ensure highest possible level of availability and dependability. The integrated battery backup system ensures continued operation despite a power outage. A condition test is performed on a regular basis and the unit will send an alarm if the battery needs to be replaced. Future-proof The system is NGN-safe which enables compatibility with VoIP equipment today as well as tomorrow. It uses the latest available technology and state-of-the-art design.

5 About SafeLine SL6 Modem function SafeLine SL6 GSM can be used as a GSM modem when connected to a controller. The modem function can be used for many purposes, such as remotely alter setup of the controller, monitoring of the entire lift, or to upload needed files and settings to the connected equipment. A standard USB cable or programming cable can be used to connect a controller or other suitable equipment to the SafeLine SL6 unit. The modem function uses the new open standard for modem communication, supported by major controller manufactures. Canopen-Lift interface SafeLine SL6 supports CANopen-Lift with an optional interface board. CANopen-Lift is an industry standard to allow plug-and-play compatibility of lift equipment. The CANopen-Lift interface on SafeLine SL6 enables it to communicate and send information from the controller. All configuration can be made with the standard CANopen-Lift configuration tool CANwizard. Fire communication SafeLine SL6 can be used as a fire fighting intercom as well as an emergency telephone. Up to a maximum of six stations can be used, with a combination of emergency telephone and fire stations, allowing for additional locations in the building if required. SafeLine SL6 is a fully featured but compact emergency telephone and fire fighting intercom unit, with all features required to comply with the EN81-28, EN81-70 and EN81-72 standards.
