1 Louisville Fire Protection District Board of Directors Regular Meeting October 8, 2015 In Attendance: Board members Abbott, Schmidt, Varra and Yost Chief Willson Excused: Don Buffo President Yost called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll call was taken and all board members were present, except Don Buffo who was excused. President Yost swore in the new paramedics, Jason Fletcher and Tim Rossette. Board member Schmidt moved to approve the minutes of the September 10, 2015 meeting. Board member Abbott seconded, motion carried. Board member Abbott moved to approve the acknowledgement of the September 29, 2015 work session. Board member Schmidt seconded, motion carried. Board member Schmidt reviewed board member manual changes. President Yost moved to approve the manual as written. Board member Abbott seconded, motion carried. Chief Willson presented follow up on the proposed 2016 budget. There was discussion regarding renting some space during the Station 2 remodel and finishing Station 3 the next year. Staff will look at availability of rental property. A special meeting was scheduled for Oct. 27 th, 7:00 p.m., at Station 2 to discuss the proposed 2016 budget. The public hearing was set for the November 12, 2015 board meeting. Chief Willson presented his report. -Update on the basement repairs at Station 3. -The new apparatus should be in service on Nov. 1 st. -The land sale is still in progress. The final deadline for the buyers is Feb. 11, The plan for shared resources in fire prevention should be implemented by Nov. 1 st. Performance statistics were reviewed.
