8 THREE NCS GENERATIONS 1st Generation NCS Oldest one designed in the beginning of 80 s and still in use even now. Is based on simple wall switches, dome lights with bulbs and alarm panel at the nurse station based on bulb lights and marked room numbers on it. 2nd Generation NCS Designed in beginning of 90 s, continuously modified and most used one on the NA market for now. Almost all existing facilities using these NCS even now, with the different combinations and third party add-ons 3rd Generation NCS Used starting from 2003 based on proprietary protocols or SIP based signaling with or without voice option. It is out of the box solution and require big financial investment.

9 OLD ANALOG/HYBRID VOICE CAPABLE NCS These are typical dialers over analog or hybrid cooper lines. Patient is pressing the button, and device is dialing on predefined numbers. Usually to the nurse desk, monitoring station, through PBX or to the call center, etc. Unlikely can be considered as a real NCS solution and can not to be UL approved IPPBX can design a custom solution for these type of old analog system to get UL1069 certification. Our custom design solution allow you to keep existing hardware in place and but bringing new features of NCS by adding some new devices. This solution can get you UL 1069 certified with comparatively very low cost then installing a whole new NCS system.

11 TYPICAL EXAMPLES OF OLD ANALOG/HYBRID Panasonic Phone System and terminals Igcare series patient stations Tunstall desktop units All of these devices require external or on-site phone system, old type RJ11 cooper lines. Panasonic is the most advance old type used even now, but require a lot of add-on, licensing options and limited to itself. Even if some coming with some kind of reporting tools, all are based on CDR records and not compliant with the UL certification.

12 SIP COMPATIBLE VOICE NCS These are most recent NCS on the market for now. Delivering voice and data, with the reporting and analytic tools. At the same time is the most expensive solution on the market, not flexible, fully dependent of the manufacturer conditions and with a lot of licensing options.
