7 IR Assessment This is just one example of a building science reporting format and we are showing only qualitative IR images in this example. Your report may look somewhat different with a similar format, but it will have plenty of infrared images, and it s customized to your particular situation. It may include digital pictures, more thorough quantitative measurement applications it ll depend upon your thermal situation. You should know that you are receiving your infrared evaluation from the most up to date infrared reporting software that is available today, from Flir Systems. And, only newer model infrared cameras are used with superior 320x240 resolution which will most of the time make using comparative digital pictures unnecessary in a report, but digital pictures and comparison pictures will be used when necessary. Again this sample report has just infrared images on it for you to get an idea of just what the IR assessment report you receive will look like. This particular report example is broken down with page 2 showing you two interior home shots of water damage, page 3 of exterior home evaluations, page4 of exterior commercial building evals, page 5 of flat commercial roofing surveys and page 6 shows you residential electrical scans. The electrical surveys have their own separate report template than what you see here. These reports will have a comparative digital picture with detailed measurements on the images and also in text tables which will be located in the body of the report. Severity criteria are provided and the report will show you the electrical fault, if it exists, in the infrared image and it will also list all faults found in their order of importance for repair in the infrared electrical report.
