3 1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION This workpack describes the installation of fire and gas detection system on wellhead platform flank south, which shall become a part of the existing Vallhall complex. The installation considered that the wellhead platform is normally being unmanned, remotely operated from Vallhall. The instrumentation is in accordance to BP requirements General This workpack involve all tags described in the Fire & gas I/O schedule FS-RI-I All installations are to be performed in accordance with the following standards and specifications: 1. British Petroleum s WHP functional requirements. 2. British Petroleum additional technical requirements to NORSOK standard Z-DP-002 Coding system. 3. British Petroleum additional requirements to NORSOK standard Z-001 Documentation for operation. 4. British Petroleum additional requirements to NORSOK standard Z-CR-010 Installation of Electric, Instrument & Telecommunication. 5. Norsok standard Z-CR-010 Installation of electrical, instrument & telecommunication. 6. Norsok standard Z-001 Documentation for operation. 7. Norsok standard Z-DP-002 Coding system Installation LER Fire and gas nodes 93/94 ABB Safeguard 415 is installed accordance to workpackage FS-RI-I All gas and flame detectors shall be connected directly to the ABB Safeguard 415 node. 6 Cables General: Installations contractor is responsible for site routing of cables. All cable length on material list and cable schedule are approximate. Cables are to be pulled and then cut to required length on site. All cable lengths are to be clearly marked with cable number at each end, and where it leaves/enters cable penetration etc. See cable diagram layout FS-RI-I Caution All cables should have the cable end protected against moisture during installation. Sharp edges must be avoided. When fastening cable avoid making dents in cable. Termination: Cables from gas and flame detectors shall be terminated in LER cabinet see FTC termination diagram FS-RI-I or FS-RI-I Cable from manual, smoke and heat detectors shall be terminated in LER cabinet 49-IU see FTC termination diagram FS-RI-I Software All software implementation shall be done in accordance to own software workpackage FS-RI-I-0007 and F&G and Cause & Effect diagram FS-RI-I , FS-RI-I and FS-RI-I The software logic is programmed to satisfy the cause and effect diagram.
